"Love II Love" is a song by British boy band Damage, released as the second single from their 1997 debut album, Forever . It is widely regarded[ by whom? ] as the band's breakthrough single, having peaked at No. 12 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 82 in the United States, where it is their only charting single. The song also appeared on the singles charts of Australia, Germany, and New Zealand.
The music video shows the band being strung up by a woman with alien-like characteristics, and being controlled like puppets. Many believe this was the inspiration for 'N Sync's "Bye Bye Bye" music video, released four years later in 2000.[ citation needed ]

"Love to Hate You" is a song by English synth-pop duo Erasure, released in September 1991 as the second single from their fifth studio album, Chorus (1991). Written by band members Vince Clarke and Andy Bell, it is an electronic dance track inspired by disco music. The synthesizer melody in the chorus is an interpolation of the string break from American singer Gloria Gaynor's disco-era classic "I Will Survive". The duo also recorded a Spanish version of the song, called "Amor y Odio", and one in Italian called "Amo Odiarti". The single was released by Mute Records in the UK and Sire Records in the US. It peaked at number four on the UK Singles Chart and became a top-10 hit in Austria, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Ireland, and Sweden.
"I Want You" is a song by Australian pop duo Savage Garden. It was originally released in Australia on 27 May 1996 as the lead single from their eponymous debut album, Savage Garden (1997). The single reached number one in Canada for two weeks and peaked at number four in Australia and on the US Billboard Hot 100. Much of the song's chart success in the US was the result of Rosie O'Donnell playing the song on several episodes of The Rosie O'Donnell Show. The single also peaked at number nine in Iceland and at 11 on the UK Singles Chart. In November 1998, the single was re-released in the United Kingdom following the success of "Truly Madly Deeply" and "To the Moon and Back". This release peaked at number 12.
