Myeloid zinc finger 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the MZF1 gene. [5] [6]
MZF1 has been shown to interact with SCAND1. [7] In 2014, the laboratory of Nathan H. Lents showed that MZF-1 induces the GAPDH gene, something that must be considered when GAPDH is used as a loading control in experiments that may induce or perturb MZF-1. [8] The same group later showed that MZF-1 induces CTGF and NOV, two members of the CCN gene family. [9]
Glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase is an enzyme of about 37kDa that catalyzes the sixth step of glycolysis and thus serves to break down glucose for energy and carbon molecules. In addition to this long established metabolic function, GAPDH has recently been implicated in several non-metabolic processes, including transcription activation, initiation of apoptosis, ER-to-Golgi vesicle shuttling, and fast axonal, or axoplasmic transport. In sperm, a testis-specific isoenzyme GAPDHS is expressed.
SMAD family member 6, also known as SMAD6, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SMAD6 gene.
GATA2 or GATA-binding factor 2 is a transcription factor, i.e. a nuclear protein which regulates the expression of genes. It regulates many genes that are critical for the embryonic development, self-renewal, maintenance, and functionality of blood-forming, lympathic system-forming, and other tissue-forming stem cells. GATA2 is encoded by the GATA2 gene, a gene which often suffers germline and somatic mutations which lead to a wide range of familial and sporadic diseases, respectively. The gene and its product are targets for the treatment of these diseases.
Serine/threonine-protein kinase D1 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the PRKD1 gene.
Protein CBFA2T1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the RUNX1T1 gene.
Tristetraprolin (TTP), also known as zinc finger protein 36 homolog (ZFP36), is a protein that in humans, mice and rats is encoded by the ZFP36 gene. It is a member of the TIS11 family, along with butyrate response factors 1 and 2.
Tumor necrosis factor, alpha-induced protein 3 or A20 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TNFAIP3 gene.
S100 calcium-binding protein A6 (S100A6) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the S100A6 gene.
Krüppel-like Factor 2 (KLF2), also known as lung Krüppel-like Factor (LKLF), is a protein that in humans is encoded by the KLF2 gene on chromosome 19. It is in the Krüppel-like factor family of zinc finger transcription factors, and it has been implicated in a variety of biochemical processes in the human body, including lung development, embryonic erythropoiesis, epithelial integrity, T-cell viability, and adipogenesis.
Interferon regulatory factor 8 (IRF8) also known as interferon consensus sequence-binding protein (ICSBP), is a protein that in humans is encoded by the IRF8 gene. IRF8 is a transcription factor that plays critical roles in the regulation of lineage commitment and in myeloid cell maturation including the decision for a common myeloid progenitor (CMP) to differentiate into a monocyte precursor cell.
Krueppel-like factor 10 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the KLF10 gene.
TNFAIP3-interacting protein 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TNIP2 gene. TNIP2 contains multiple amino acid sites that are phosphorylated and ubiquitinated.
CpG-binding protein (CGBP) also known as CXXC-type zinc finger protein 1 (CXXC1) or PHD finger and CXXC domain-containing protein 1 (PCCX1) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CXXC1 gene.
SCAN domain-containing protein 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SCAND1 gene.
Zinc finger protein 267 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ZNF267 gene.
Zinc fingers and homeoboxes protein 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ZHX2 gene.
Zinc finger protein PLAGL2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the PLAGL2 gene.
Zinc finger and SCAN domain-containing protein 21 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ZSCAN21 gene.
Krüppel-like factor 15 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the KLF15 gene in the Krüppel-like factor family. Its former designation KKLF stands for kidney-enriched Krüppel-like factor.
Early growth response protein 4 (EGR-4), also known as AT133, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the EGR4 gene.
