Mahendranagar is a town in Chhireshwarnath Municipality of Dhanusa District in the Janakpur Zone of south-eastern Nepal. The formerly Village Development Committee was converted into municipality merging along with existing VDCs Ramdaiya, Sakhuwa Mahendranagar, Hariharpur and Digambarpur on 18 May 2014. [1] [2] At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 10,209 persons living in 1916 individual households. Mahendranagar acts as bridge between Dhalkebar and Janakpur. Basically it is popular for its largest cattle market in the Nepal. It is assumed that 65% of cattle for e.g. buffalo, goats in Kathmandu valley are brought from here[ citation needed ]. The town is named after late king Mahendra.

Many Co-operative organization are based in Mahendranagar. Mahalakshi, Laxman rekha, Khusiyali, jaiSi baba, Upyogi Co-operative organization provide Loan and Saving Facilities. They concentrate loan to poor people without any deposit.

Chhireswor Janta Higher Secondary School is the oldest Educational institute of Chhireshwor Municipality. Here is also Government School, which provides free education facilities. There are two Colleges in Chhireswornath Municipality. Chhireswor Janta Bahumukhi Campus is the oldest campus of chhireswarnath Municipality. Gangotri Campus is another Campus at Chhireswornath Municipality which is recently commenced.

Chhireswarnath is located in the Terai, forested and marshy terrain at the base of the Himalaya mountain range. The major rivers surrounding are Aurahi, Jalad. Chhireswarnath Municipality is famous for its temples (Shiv temple).

One can see all the six seasons in Chhireswarnath. Basant ritu (Spring - February/March), Grisma ritu (Summer - April/May/June), Barsha ritu (Rainy - July/August), Sharad ritu (Autumn - September/October), Hemanta ritu (Autumn-winter - November/December), Shishir ritu (Winter - December/January).

The best time to visit in Chhireswar is from September to March as the weather is pleasant and several festivals fall during this period.

Mahendranagar officially known as Bhimdattanagar (Nepali:भिमदत्त), is a municipality in Kanchanpur District of Sudurpashchim Province, Nepal. The city and the municipality were named Mahendranagar in the honour of late King Mahendra of Nepal. After becoming a republic in 2008, the Mahendranagar municipality name was changed to Bhimdatta municipality in honour of the revolutionary farmer leader Bhimdatta Panta. It is surrounded by Bedkot Municipality in the east, Dadeldhura District in the north, Shuklaphanta National Park in the south and Uttarakhand, India in the west.

Sisautiya सिसौटिया is a small and most populated village in the southernmost part of Nepal commonly known as Madhesh or Terai. Sisautiya is 9 km north of the Indian border, 18 km south from Brahathawa municipality 9 km west from district headquarters Malangawa. It is located at 26°52'0N 85°34'0E with an altitude of 79 metres(262 feet) There is a customs checkpoint at the border crossing. It is part of the Sarlahi district and Province No. 2. Sabaila, sometimes spelled Sabela, is a municipality in Dhanusa District in Province No. 2 of south-eastern Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census, it had a population of 6,860 persons living in 1,246 individual households. Sabaila is one of the strongest municipalities in the Dhanusha district.

Hariwan Municipality is one of the new municipalities declared by the Government of Nepal on May 18, 2014. It is located in Sarlahi District Janakpur zone, Nepal. It is formed by the joining of four contemporary Village development committees (VDCs) namely Atrouli, Sasapur, Ghurkauli and Harion VDCs covering an area of 88.1 km2. It has been divided into 11 wards with an administration center in Harion Bazar. According to Nepal Population Census 2011, the municipality has a total population of 42,783.

Lalbandi is a municipality in Sarlahi district in Madhesh Province of Nepal. The municipality was established on 18 May 2014 by merging the existing Parwanipur VDC, Netragunj VDC, Jabdi, Lalbandi and Pattharkot VDCs. At the time of the 2021 Nepal Census, it had a population of 66,419 living in 14,873 individual households. There are 17 wards in this municipality. It is the largest municipality in Sarlahi district. The office of this municipality is in ward no.6 Located in Lalbandi. Pipariya is a village development committee in Sarlahi District in the Janakpur Zone of south-eastern Nepal. At present it's part of Kabilasi Municipality. It includes 2 wards of Kabilasi i.e. 1&2. According to the CBS 2011 it is carrying 1,218 households and total population 6,991 including 3,581 males and 3,410 females.

Banganga is a municipality in Kapilvastu District in the Lumbini Zone of southern Nepal. Banganga Municipality has total of 233.6 km2. According to the 2011 census, total population of the municipality is 75, 242 with population density of 322 person per km2 and density without forest is 804 persons per km2.

Itahara (इटहरा) is a village development committee in Morang District in the Kosi Zone of south-eastern part Nepal. Chhireshwarnath is a municipality in the Dhanusa District of Madhesh Province of Nepal. The municipality was established on 18 May 2014, as a result of the merger between Village Development Committees Ramdaiya, Kumhraul, Sakhuwa Mahendranagar, Hariharpur, Gopalpur, Baninya, and Digambarpur.

Bhramarpura भ्रमरपुर is a village six kilometers west of Janakpurdham. It is the most populous village in its district. Dakneshwori Municipality is located in Saptari District in Madhesh Province of Nepal. It was formed in 2016 occupying current 10 sections (wards) merging previous Kabilasha, Hariraha, Tarhi, Bhuthi, Pato, Aurahi, Brahampur, Gamahariya Parwaha, Patthargada and Banaula VDCs.
