Nagarain is a municipality in Dhanusha District in Province No. 2 of south-eastern Nepal. As of 2011 Nepal census, it has a population of 36,336 living in 6,478 individual households. It was formed by joining Fulgama, Devdiha, old Nagrain, Lagmagadha Guthi and Ghodghans village development committees. [2] The total area of Nagarain municipality is 38.71 km2. [3]

Education

Nagarain is facilitated by Shree Rajeshwor Nidhi Higher Secondary School, which is run by government. It attracts students from Nagarain as well as the neighbouring villages. Recently, the infrastructure of this school was upgraded and a new classroom block was constructed with the aid from Government of India. [4] Therefore, this building is named "Nepal-Bharat Maitri Bhawan". There are few private schools (run by individuals) which provide education in English medium.

Bimalendra Nidhi is a Nepali politician who serves as a member of the House of Representatives and a senior leader of Nepali Congress. He is the former Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal and Minister of Home Affairs of Nepal. Nidhi has also served as the Vice-president and General secretary of Nepali Congress, for tenures of four consecutive years each.

Siraha is the headquarters and municipality of Siraha District, a part of Madhesh Province, Nepal. Siraha had a population of 28,442 according to the census of 2011. and a population of 82,531 as of 2015. The current population of Siraha municipality as of census 2022, is 96,543. It has a male population of 47,306 and female population of 49,237. The present mayor of Siraha Municipality is Dr. Nabin Kumar Yadav and Deputy Mayor is Babita Kumari Sah. Dhanauji is a rural municipality in Dhanusha District in Province No. 2 of south-eastern Nepal established in 2073. As of 2011 Nepal census, it has a population of 22,395. It was formed by joining Jhojhi Kataiya, Lakhauri, Bahuarba and former Dhanuji Village development committees. The total area of Nagarain municipality is 22 km2.

Dhanushadham is a municipality in Dhanusha District in Province No. 2 of south-eastern Nepal. The municipality was established on 18 May 2014 by merging the existing Govindapur, Umprempur, Yagyabhumi, Dhanushadham village development committees (VDCs). It is a religious place of Hindu worship in Nepal. It is believed that a part of Shiva Dhanusha that was broken by Rama during Sita's swayamvara, is housed. Now there is temple around the remaining of bow and visited by Hindu devotees from all over the world. That's why it is named Dhanushadham.

Mukhiyapatti Musharniya is a rural municipality in Dhanusha District in Province No. 2 of south-eastern Nepal established in 2073 BS. As of 2011 Nepal census, it has a population of 25,482. It was formed by joining Tulsiyahi Nikas, Tulsiyani Jabdi, Baheda Bela and former Mukhiyapatti Musharniya Village development committees. The total area of Nagarain municipality is 26.84 km2.

Sabaila, sometimes spelled Sabela, is a municipality in Dhanusa District in Province No. 2 of south-eastern Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census, it had a population of 6,860 persons living in 1,246 individual households. Sabaila is one of the strongest municipalities in the Dhanusha district.

Mahendra Narayan Nidhi was a Nepali politician, democracy fighter, and Gandhian leader. He was the Minister of water resources and local development in the Interim government led by Krishna Prasad Bhattarai after the success of 1990 Nepalese revolution. He was one of the most influential leaders and General Secretary of Nepali Congress. He started his active political journey from Dhanusha in 1946. Nidhi was elected twice to the parliament, in 1959 and 1991. He was the first deputy speaker of Pratinidhi Sabha of Nepal. Nidhi had started Rajeshwor Nidhi Higher Secondary School during the Rana period in Nagrain, Dhanusha.
