The Mahindra Verito Vibe was a subcompact notchback car made for the Indian market. [2] [3] [4] It was developed as a variation of the Dacia Logan and introduced as a subcompact notchback for the Indian market in order to offer a hatchback-like car in a smaller size.

The Mahindra Verito Vibe is the notchback version of the Mahindra Verito, which was a sedan and is also a discontinued model of Mahindra & Mahindra; this model appeared before the sedan version.

History

The Mahindra Verito Vibe was launched in 2013 to get the tax benefits offered to cars with a length below 4 metres (13 ft). The car was a converted Mahindra Verito sedan (based on first generation of the Dacia Logan) into a sub 4-meter notchback. [5]

The Dacia Logan is a family of automobiles produced and marketed jointly by the French manufacturer Renault and its Romanian subsidiary Dacia since mid-2004, and was the successor to the Dacia 1310 and Dacia Solenza. It has been produced as a sedan, station wagon, and as a pick-up. It has been manufactured at Dacia's automobile plant in Mioveni, Romania, and at Renault plants in Morocco, Brazil, Argentina, Turkey, Russia, Colombia, Iran and India. Ford India Private Limited was a subsidiary of Ford Motor Company for its operations in India. Ford India Private Limited's headquarter were located in Sholinganallur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. On September 9, 2021, Ford exited the Indian market as it failed to keep up with the competition, and other global economic factors had led to reduction in demand.
