Ubungo District, officially the, Ubungo Municipal Council is one of five districts of the Dar es Salaam Region of Tanzania. The Kinondoni District and Kibaha of the Pwani Region border the district to the north; the Kisarawe District of Pwani Region borders it to the west; and the Ilala District borders the it to the south and east. The district covers an area of 269.4 km2 (104.0 sq mi). The district is comparable in size to the land area of St. Kitts and Nevis. The administrative seat is Kwembe. The district is home to the University of Dar es Salaam, The Magufuli Bus Terminal, the largest in the country, and Pande Game Reserve the largest protected land area in Dar es Salaam Region. In addition, the district is home to the largest natural gas powered power station, the Ubungo Thermal Power Station and the headquarters of the Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO). The 2012 National Tanzania Census states the population of the district as 845,368.
Monduli Mjini is an administrative ward and district capital located in the Monduli District of the Arusha Region of Tanzania.The ward is totally surrounded by the Engototo ward. In 2016 the Tanzania National Bureau of Statistics report there were 8,699 people in the ward, from 7,796 in 2012. The average elevation of Monduli Mjini is 1,553m.
Goba is an administrative ward in Ubungo District of the Dar es Salaam Region in Tanzania. Kimanga and Kinyerezi of Ilala are to the south. Saranga ward is to the west. According to the 2012 census, the ward has a total population of 76,577.

Kimanga and Tabata of Ilala MC are to the south. Kimara ward is to the west. The ward is home to the Benjamin Mkapa Export Processing Zone and the largest Tanzanian Army Base in Ubungo District. Manzese was founded as a squatted informal settlement and had a population of 90,000 in 1975. A third of its adults were working full-time. The ward is home to the majority of Pande Game Reserve's area. The ward is named after the Mbezi River, which passes through it. Mzimuni is an administrative ward in Kinondoni District of the Dar es Salaam Region in Tanzania. The ward's northern boundaries are formed by the wards of Ndugumbi and Magomeni. Upanga West and Jangwani wards of Ilala MC surround the ward on the east, and Kigogo ward borders it on the south. The Makurumla and Mburahati wards of Ubungo MC are to the west. Tandale and Makumbusho ward border the ward to the north, Mzimuni to the east, Makurumla to the south and Manzese on the west. The last two being located in Ubungo District. In 2016 the Tanzania National Bureau of Statistics report there were 46,134 people in the ward, from 36,841 in 2012.
Sinza is an administrative ward in Ubungo District of the Dar es Salaam Region in Tanzania. The Kinondoni MC communities of Makongo and Kijitonyama, which border the ward to the north and east, respectively. Manzese and Ubungo wards are to the south and west of here. According to the 2012 census, the ward has a total population of 40,546.
Ilala or Ilala Ward is an administrative ward of the Ilala District of the Dar es Salaam Region in Tanzania. The Kigogo ward of the Kinondoni District borders the ward to the north, and the Mchikichini and Gerezani wards to the east. The Temeke District wards of Keko, Chang'ombe, and Temeke border the ward to the south. Buguruni encircles the ward to the west.
