Malekabad (Persian : ملكاباد‎, also Romanized as Malekābād; also known as Qal‘eh-i-Malakābād and Qal‘eh-ye Malekābād)^[1] is a village in Qarah Chaman Rural District, Arzhan District, Shiraz County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 85, in 16 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Qarah Chaman Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Arzhan District, Shiraz County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 9,231, in 2,034 families. The rural district has 32 villages.

Arzhan District is a district (bakhsh) in Shiraz County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 23,166, in 5,006 families. The District has no cities, rather, it has three rural districts (dehestan): Dasht-e Arzhan Rural District, Kuh Mareh Sorkhi Rural District, and Qarah Chaman Rural District.
