Malin Birgitta Baryard-Johnsson (born 10 April 1975) is a Swedish equestrian, competing in show jumping. [1] Baryard started to ride at the age of six and went on to be a very accomplished show jumper. [2] She won a gold medal in the Swedish Championships at the age of just 14. She married Swedish TV presenter Henrik Johnsson in the summer of 2004, and made her TV-presenting debut in the autumn of 2004 on the SVT show Barbacka.
In the 1996 Summer Olympics, Baryard placed 49th in the individual competition, and the Swedish team placed 10th. At the 1998 World Equestrian Games, Baryard placed 66th individually and 12th team. At the 2000 Summer Games, she placed 20th individually and 7th in the team competition. At the 2002 World Equestrian Games, she placed 12th individually and the Swedish team placed 2nd overall. At the 2004 Summer Games, Baryard placed 28th, while the Swedish team gained a silver medal overall. At the 2006 World Equestrian Games, Baryard placed 107th individually and 12th team. [2]
Malin Baryard / H&M Butterfly Flip were awarded the 2003 FEI Best Horse and Rider Combination, having placed in the top ten in 21 competitions that year. The duo amassed a total of 1224 points, to finish the rankings 221 points ahead of Ludger Beerbaum / Goldfever 2 and 222 points ahead of Markus Fuchs / Granie. That same year, Baryard placed third in the FEI World Cup Final with Butterfly Flip, in Las Vegas. In addition, the duo placed 7th in 2002, 6th in 2004 and 10th in 2007. Baryard also placed 7th with Corrmint in the 1996 World Cup Final, for a total of five top ten finishes in the event. [3] [4]
In 2021, at the 2020 Summer Olympics, Baryard placed 5th in the Individual jumping events. She won Olympic gold in the team jump event.

David John O'Connor is a retired equestrian who represented the United States in the sport of three-day eventing. He competed in two Olympic Games, winning a team silver at the 1996 Summer Olympics and an individual gold and team bronze at the 2000 Summer Olympics. At the 1999 Pan American Games, O'Connor took an individual silver and team gold and at the 2002 World Equestrian Games he assisted the US team to gold. After his retirement from competition in 2004, he became involved in the administrative side of international eventing. O'Connor has held top coaching roles for the US and Canadian national eventing teams, and was president of the United States Equestrian Federation from 2004 to 2012. During his career, O'Connor and his horses were awarded many honors, including equestrian and horse of the year awards from several organizations. In 2009, he was inducted to the United States Eventing Association's Hall of Fame, and two of his horses have been granted the same honor. O'Connor is married to fellow international event rider Karen O'Connor, and the pair operate two equestrian training facilities in the eastern United States.
Equestrian sports were first included in the Olympic Games in the Summer Olympics of 1900 in Paris. They were again included in 1912, and have been included in every subsequent edition of the Games. Currently, the Olympic equestrian disciplines are dressage, eventing, and show jumping. In each discipline, both individual and team medals are awarded. Since the XV Olympiad in Helsinki in 1952, women and men compete on equal terms.

Yvonne Losos de Muñiz is an Olympic athlete and international Grand Prix dressage rider. Born in Nigeria to Canadian parents, she represents the Dominican Republic internationally. She belongs to the elite Dominican Olympic athlete program CRESO.
Nicole Uphoff is a German equestrian who competes in the sport of dressage. She won four gold medals in individual and team competition at the 1988 and 1992 Summer Olympics. Riding her star horse, Rembrandt, Uphoff also won numerous other international competitions, including the World Equestrian Games and the European Dressage Championships.
The FEI Nations Cup, called Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup since 2013 because of sponsorship reasons, is the most prestigious Show Jumping series for national teams in the world. It is organized by the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI).
Laura Tomlinson MBE is a German-British dressage rider competing at Olympic level. As of 30 June 2012 the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) ranked her 3rd in the world riding Mistral Højris and 36th on Andretti H. In that year, Tomlinson, riding Mistral Højris under her maiden name of Laura Bechtolsheimer, won two medals in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London; gold for Great Britain in the team dressage with Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin, the first ever Olympic team gold in the discipline for her country, and bronze in the individual dressage behind gold medalist and compatriot Dujardin.
Carl Hester is a British dressage rider competing at Olympic level. As of 8 August 2012, the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) rank him 12th in the world riding Uthopia. In 2012, Hester formed part of the Great Britain Dressage team that won gold at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Ibrahim Hani Bisharat is a Jordanian equestrian rider. He is a three-time Olympian and is currently ranked no. 285 in the world by Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI).

Peder Fredricson is a Swedish equestrian and Olympic medalist. He was born in Flen in Södermanland. He has won one Olympic gold medal in team jumping at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, and three Olympic silver medals, his first in team jumping at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, his second in individual jumping at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, and his third in Individual jumping at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. He also participated at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, in eventing. In 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games, Peder Fredricson with his horse H&M All In won team gold medal with Malin Baryard-Johnsson and Henrik von Eckermann and also a silver medal as individual. Among his top horses, there are H&M Christian K, H&M All In, Catch me Not S, Jumper d’Oase and Thelma Hästak.
Inessa Viktorovna Merkulova is a Russian Olympic dressage rider. She competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she placed 23rd in the individual competition aboard Trakehner Mister X. She went on to compete at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo as well, during which she placed 12th in the team competition representing the Russian Olympic Committee, and 31st individually. Merkulova has also represented Russia at five World Equestrian Games, five European Dressage Championships, and seven World Cup Finals.
Lauren Nicholson is an American equestrian who competes in eventing. As the leading USA rider in the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event CCI, she won the Pinnacle Cup Trophy in 2014 and again in 2016, both times riding the Dutch Warmblood mare Veronica with whom she has been paired since 2013. Nicholson was a member of the gold medal-winning US eventing team at the 2015 Pan American Games, riding Meadowbrook's Scarlett.
Henrik von Eckermann is a Swedish Olympic show jumping rider. He has competed at four Summer Olympics. His best individual Olympic placements came in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo when he won gold in the team and placed 4th in the individual competition.
The team dressage in equestrian at the 1948 Olympic Games in London was held in the town of Aldershot on 9 August. The French team consisting of André Jousseaume, Jean Saint-Fort Paillard and Maurice Buret won the gold medal. The United States won silver and Portugal took bronze.
Equestrian competitions at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru were held from July 27 to August 10. The venue for the competition is the Equestrian Club Militar La Molina. A total of 150 athletes are scheduled to compete in the three disciplines of dressage, eventing and jumping, each with an individual and team event.
Sarah Ennis is an Irish eventing rider. Representing Ireland, she has competed at two editions of World Equestrian Games. Her best achievements came at the 2018 edition of the Games, held in Tryon, North Carolina, where she won a silver medal with an Irish team and placed 5th individually.
