Teddy Tamgho is a French triple jumper and long jumper. He specialises in the triple jump. He is the current triple jump world indoor record holder at 17.92 m, achieved in winning the final and gold medal at the 2011 European Indoor Championships. He is the world's sixth best ever triple jumper outdoors, with his best mark of 18.04 metres achieved in winning the final and gold medal at the 2013 World Championships.
Shara Proctor is a British former long jumper born in Anguilla. She is the national record holder of both Anguilla and Great Britain. On 28 August 2015 at the World Championships in Beijing she became the first British, female, long-jumper to jump over 7 metres (7.07), setting a new British record and earning a world championship silver medal in the process. She also won the 2013 IAAF Diamond League in the event. Her younger sister is the Anguillan sprinter Shinelle Proctor.
Queen Quedith Claye née Harrison is an American hurdler and sprinter who competed in the 400 metres hurdles at the 2008 Summer Olympics. She was a six-time collegiate All-American at Virginia Tech where she was elected to its sports hall of fame. Queen is a meet director for Virginia's Best Track and Field Classic - VHSL meet hosted in Richmond, Virginia started in 2017.
The 2015 IAAF World Championships, the fifteenth edition of the IAAF World Championships, were held from 22 to 30 August at the National Stadium in Beijing, China. Forty-three nations won medals, 144 of which were awarded. Kenya topped the medal table for the first time, with 7 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze medals. The United States won 18 medals, six gold, six silver and six bronze, which was the highest tally. Host nation China, finished 11th on the medals table, while Russia finished ninth.
David Emmanuel Wilson is a former American football running back who played for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). Wilson played college football for Virginia Tech. He was selected in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the New York Giants, 32nd overall. He was forced to retire after only two NFL seasons because of a career-ending neck injury. He is a 2002 U.S. junior champion, a 2006 NCAA outdoor triple jump champion, a nine-time All-American, two-time East Regional champion, six-time Atlantic Coast Conference titleholder, 2011 USA indoor Champion. Curry currently holds FSU's indoor and outdoor records for the triple jump. He also posted a personal best of 17.22 metres by winning the men's triple jump at the NCAA East Regional Meet in Tallahassee, Florida. Curry is a member of the track and field team for the Florida Seminoles, and a graduate of Florida State University.
Omar Craddock is an American track and field athlete who competes in the triple jump. With the University of Florida he won one indoor and two outdoor NCAA titles in the event. He competed alongside Christian Taylor and Will Claye in a succession of elite level triple jumpers to come from the Florida Gators track and field team.

Hugues Fabrice Zango is a Burkinabé athlete who specialises in the triple jump and the long jump. Pending ratification, he is the world indoor record holder in the triple jump with a jump of 18.07 m set in 2021.
