Mangarhi is a village in Aligarh district, Uttar Pradesh, India. The population of Mangarhi is estimated at 2500.[ citation needed ] Mangarhi is situated on the major road between Aligarh and Gonda. The main road from Mathura to Aligarh also passes through Mangarhi.
The largest industries in Mangarhi are potato cultivation and wheat farming.[ citation needed ] There are a large number of cold storage units near Mangarhi in response to the demand for potato storage.

Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India gave accreditation to the academy in 2004 and promoted it as 'centre of excellence' in 2008. Membership of the academy is open to anyone who has an interest in the academy's activities particularly on history of medicine and history of science. Being a charitable organization, donations to the Academy are also exempted from Income Tax under section 80G of the Income Tax Act 1961.

Aligarh Muslim University is a public central university in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India, which was originally established by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan as the Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College in 1875. Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College became Aligarh Muslim University in 1920, following the Aligarh Muslim University Act. It has three off-campus centres in AMU Malappuram Campus (Kerala), AMU Murshidabad Centre, and Kishanganj Centre (Bihar). The university offers more than 300 courses in traditional and modern branches of education, and is an institute of national importance as declared under seventh schedule of the Constitution of India at its commencement.

A new chapter of educational enlightenment was added to the culturally enriched soil of Bengal with the establishment of Aligarh Muslim University, Murshidabad Centre in 2010. The Centre, accredited by NAAC in A grade, is empowered by Section 5(2) (C) of the AMU (Amendment) Act, 1981 and under Section 12(2) of the University Act. [Act XL 1920 and AMU (Amendment) Act, 1972].
