Kelmash Devi, better known as Mannat Noor, is an Indian singer singing primarily in the Punjabi language. She has sung songs for films including Laung Laachi , Carry On Jatta 2 , Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and National Award winning Harjeeta . Her song Laung Laachi is the first Indian song to reach 1 billion views on YouTube. [1] [2]

Career

Mannat Noor gained widespread popularity after she sang the title track of the film Laung Laachi which garnered critical acclaim. She contributed her voice to other tracks on the soundtrack for the movie. She has also sung many Punjabi songs such as "Makeup" and "Reshmi Chunni". [3] [4]

She has also supported Punjabi singer Ammy Virk on his concert tour,"Background Tour" in Australia.

Mannat Noor won Best Playback Singer Female Award for song Laung Laachi Title Track in Ptc Punjabi Film Awards 2019. In 2020 she won the same award for her song Gulabi Paani from movie Muklawa. In Ptc Punjabi Film Awards 2022 she won Best Playback Singer Female for her song Chunniyan from movie Yaar Anmulle Returns. She has received many awards other than these in her musical career in Punjabi Film and Music Industry.

Harjeeta is a 2018 Indian Punjabi-language sports-drama film written by Jagdeep Sidhu and directed by Vijay Kumar Arora. Co-produced by Sizzlen Productions, Malika Productions, Omjee Group, and Villagers Film Studio; it stars Ammy Virk, Sawan Rupowali, Sameep Ranaut, and Pankaj Tripathi. The film chronicles the story of Harjeet Singh, a field hockey player raised from poor family and captained Indian team in Junior World Cup. The film was released on 18 May 2018. The film chronicles the story of a married couple who decided to live as strangers under one roof, following the wife's desire to fall in love before marriage. <i>Qismat</i> 2018 film directed by Jagdeep Sidhu

Qismat (transl. Destiny) is a 2018 Punjabi romantic drama film written and directed by Jagdeep Sidhu. Produced by Shri Narotam Ji Productions, the film stars Ammy Virk and Sargun Mehta in lead roles along with Guggu Gill, Tania and Harby Sangha in supporting roles. It was titled after a 2017 song of the same name, sung by Virk and starring Mehta in its music video. The film follows a man who falls in love whilst studying in Chandigarh, despite his marriage being arranged to another woman. It marked feature film debut for Tania.

Villagers Film Studio Private Limited is an Indian film production company founded by Ammy Virk and his brother Bhagwant Virk in 2017. Villagers Film Studio began to produce films in 2018 with Laung Laachi followed by Harjeeta and Guddiyan Patole.

Harmanjeet Singh is a poet and lyricist. He won the Yuva Puraskar for his book Rani Tatt. Rani Tatt is a work of poems and prose on Punjab and looks at various aspects through the prism of nature. He also wrote the song "Laung Laachi" for the movie Laung Laachi, and for many other Punjabi films. His lyrics have been sung also by artists like Sunidhi Chauhan, Neha Bhasin, Amrinder Gill, and Manpreet Singh. He is also known for writing the lyrics to the spiritual song sung by Diljit Dosanjh, "Aar Nanak Paar Nanak". He worked with Diljit Dosanjh again for a track named "Nanak Aadh Jugaadh Jiyo". He also released a series of religious tracks named "Sooraj Eko Rut Anek" with Manpreet Singh.

The film stars Ammy Virk, Sonam Bajwa, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Karamjit Anmol and B.N. Sharma are in leading roles with Gurpreet Bhangu, Sukhwinder Chahal, Rakhi Hundal, Drishtii Garewal and Sarbjit Cheema in are in supporting roles. Muklawa was released worldwide in cinemas on 24 May 2019.
