Maraq (Persian : مرق‎, also Romanized as Marq and Marraq; also known as Margh and Marrah)^[1] is a village of the Nur Ali Beyk Rural District; Central District of Saveh County, Markazi Province, Iran. According to the 2006 census, its population was 237 inhabitants, living in 80 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Nur Ali Beyk Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Saveh County, Markazi Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 13,417, in 3,427 families. The rural district has 34 villages.

The Central District of Saveh County is a district (bakhsh) in Saveh County, Markazi Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 215,413, in 57,202 families. The District has two cities: Saveh & Aveh. The District has four rural districts (dehestan): Nur Ali Beyk Rural District, Qareh Chay Rural District, Shahsavan Kandi Rural District, and Taraznahid Rural District.
