Owjan (Persian : اوجان‎, also Romanized as Owjān)^[1] is a village in Qareh Chay Rural District, in the Central District of Saveh County, Markazi Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 668, in 149 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Qareh Chay Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Saveh County, Markazi Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 9,956, in 2,277 families. The rural district has 27 villages.

The Central District of Saveh County is a district (bakhsh) in Saveh County, Markazi Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 215,413, in 57,202 families. The District has two cities: Saveh & Aveh.
