Margasin (Persian : مرگسين‎, also Romanized as Margasīn; also known as Margīn)^[1] is a village in Qaqazan-e Sharqi Rural District, in the Central District of Takestan County, Qazvin Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 278, in 69 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Qaqazan-e Sharqi Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Takestan County, Qazvin Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 12,890, in 2,930 families. The rural district has 19 villages.

The Central District of Takestan County is a district (bakhsh) in Takestan County, Qazvin Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 99,841, in 24,971 families. The District has two cities: Takestan and Narjeh. The District has three rural districts (dehestan): Narjeh Rural District, Qaqazan-e Gharbi Rural District, and Qaqazan-e Sharqi Rural District.
