Alan Gordon Barraclough Haselhurst, Baron Haselhurst, is a British Conservative Party politician who served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Saffron Walden from 1977 to 2017, having previously represented Middleton and Prestwich from 1970 to 1974. Haselhurst was Chairman of Ways and Means from 14 May 1997 to 8 June 2010, and later Chairman of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association between 2011 and 2014. He was the oldest Conservative MP when he stood down at the 2017 general election. In May 2018, he was appointed as a life peer, and currently sits in the House of Lords as Baron Haselhurst.
Martin John Callanan, Baron Callanan is a British Conservative Party politician. He was Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for North East England from 1999 to 2014 and Chairman of the European Conservatives and Reformists group from 2011 to 2014. Callanan failed his bid to win re-election in the 2014 European Parliament elections, becoming the first sitting chairman of a European parliamentary group to lose his seat. On 8 August 2014, it was announced that he would be made a Conservative life peer in the House of Lords.

Siaya County is one of the counties in the former Western Province in the Eastern part of Kenya. It is bordered by Busia County to the north, Kakamega County and Vihiga County's to the northeast and Kisumu County to the southeast. It shares a water border with Homa Bay County which is located south of Siaya County. The total area of the county is approximately 2,496.1 km2. The county lies between latitude 0° 26' to 0° 18' north and longitude 33° 58' east and 34° 33' west. Siaya has been split up into six new districts. Under the Constitution 2010, the role of districts are still unclear as much of administrative authority is being transferred to the county. The capital is Siaya, even though the largest town is Bondo.

He has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Stampin since May 2018, Bandar Kuching from March 2004 to May 2018 and Member of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Padungan since December 2021 and Kota Sentosa from May 2006 to December 2021. He served as Leader of the Opposition of Sarawak from June 2013 to November 2020. He is a member, National Vice-Chairman, State Chairman of Sarawak, Branch Chairman of Kuching and Youth Advisor of Sarawak as well as Kuching of the Democratic Action Party (DAP), a component party of the PH opposition coalition.

Gerald Otieno Kajwang was a Kenyan politician. He belonged to the Orange Democratic Movement and was elected to represent the Mbita Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya in the December 2007 parliamentary election. In the bitterly contested 2013 elections, Otieno Kajwang was elected to represent Homa Bay County in the Senate of Kenya. Upon his death, his brother, Moses Otieno Kajwang won the election to succeed him in Parliament, representing Homa Bay.

Moses Otieno Kajwang is the second elected Senator for Homa Bay County in Kenya and a member of the Orange Democratic Movement. He was elected on 12 February 2015 in a by election that was occasioned by the death of his brother Gerald Otieno Kajwang. He was re-elected in 2017 for a second term and in 2022 for a third term.
