Marus (Persian : ماروس‎, also Romanized as Mārūs)^[1] is a village in Eshqabad Rural District, Miyan Jolgeh District, Nishapur County, Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 250, in 69 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Eshqabad Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Miyan Jolgeh District, Nishapur County, Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 15,280, in 3,852 families. The rural district has 43 villages.

Miyan Jolgeh District is a district (bakhsh) in Nishapur County, Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 37,117, in 9,417 families. The District has one city: Eshqabad. The District has three rural districts (dehestan): Belharat Rural District, Eshqabad Rural District, and Ghazali Rural District.
