Massachusetts House of Representatives' 5th Essex district is one of 160 districts included in the lower house of the Massachusetts General Court. It covers the towns of Essex, Rockport, and Manchester-by-the-Sea and the city of Gloucester in Essex County. [1] Democrat Ann-Margaret Ferrante of Gloucester has represented the district since 2009. [2]
