Matekeh (Persian : متكه‎)^[1] is a village in Karipey Rural District, Lalehabad District, Babol County, Mazandaran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 403, in 106 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Karipey Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Lalehabad District, Babol County, Mazandaran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 31,761, in 8,094 families. The rural district has 56 villages.

Lalehabad District is a district (bakhsh) in Babol County, Mazandaran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 49,383, in 12,737 families. The District has one city: Zargarmahalleh. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Karipey Rural District and Lalehabad Rural District.
