Gatab (Persian : گتاب) [lower-alpha 1] is a city in, and the capital of, Gatab District of Babol County, Mazandaran province, Iran. [4] It also serves as the administrative center for Gatab-e Shomali Rural District. [5] [lower-alpha 2]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 6,956 in 1,744 households. [6] The following census in 2011 counted 7,242 people in 2,084 households. [7] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 7,374 people in 2,340 households. [2]
