Mazru (Persian : مزرو‎, also Romanized as Mazrū, Mazroo, and Mazrow; also known as Marrū)^[1] is a village in Alaviyeh Rural District, Kordian District, Jahrom County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 41, in 5 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Alaviyeh Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Kordian District, Jahrom County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 6,006, in 1,441 families. The rural district has 11 villages.

Kordian District is a district (bakhsh) in Jahrom County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 14,025, in 3,391 families. The District has one city: Qotbabad. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Alaviyeh Rural District and Qotbabad Rural District.
