Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST) is a public university in Mbeya, southern Tanzania. [1] The University was established in 2012 as a result of a transformation of the previous Mbeya Technical College (MTC), which was founded in 1986, to Mbeya Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) in 2005, and then to Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST). [2]

Mkunde Chachage is a lecturer and researcher in immunology at University of Dar es Salaam Mbeya College of Health and Allied Sciences. She is also a researcher at the National Institute for Medical Research at Mbeya medical research centre. She conducts research in clinical immunology as well as infectious diseases of human including Tuberculosis (TB), HIV and helminths infections.

Victoria Kisyombe is a Tanzanian entrepreneur and founder of Sero Lease and Finance Limited (Selfina) in 2002, a Tanzanian company that micro-leasing to mostly widows and young girls. She received an Outstanding Social Entrepreneur Award from the World Economic Forum and Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs in 2010.
