The Mid-Hudson Library System (MHLS) is a public library system in the Hudson Valley of New York. It was established in 1959 by the State of New York. [1]
MHLS comprises libraries in five counties: Columbia County, Dutchess County, Greene County, Putnam County and Ulster County. The System's headquarters is in the city of Poughkeepsie.

Claverack is a town in Columbia County, New York, United States. The population was 6,021 at the 2010 census. The town name in English was derived from the Dutch word Klaverakker, meaning "Clover Fields" or "Clover Reach". In 1705, a Dutch tenant farmer made the first discovery of a mastodon tooth here.

The river's name uses an old Dutch version of the given name Marietje, meaning "little Mary". It is one of two major waterways in Hyde Park, and flows north to south through the town.
