The Middle Dnieper Hydroelectric Station is a run-of-river power plant on the Dnieper River in Kamianske, Ukraine, operated by Ukrhydroenergo. [1]

The primary purpose of the dam is hydroelectric power generation and navigation. It is the fourth dam in the Dnieper cascade. The dam has an associated lock and a power station with an installed capacity of 352 MW. Construction on the dam began in 1956 and the last generator was commissioned in 1964. [2] Until 2016 the plant was named Dniprodzerzhynska HES, after the Soviet name of the town of Kamianske. [3] [4]

Kyiv Hydroelectric Station is a run-of-river power plant on the Dnieper River in Vyshhorod, Kyiv Oblast, Central Ukraine. The 288 m (945 ft) long dam creates the Kyiv Reservoir with the purpose of hydroelectric power generation and navigability with the dam's associated lock. The first of 20 generators in the power station was commissioned in 1964, and the last in 1968. Together with the Kyiv Pumped Storage Power Station, it creates a hydroelectricity generating complex. The Kremenchuk Hydroelectric Power Plant is a run-of-river power plant on the Dnieper River just upstream of Kremenchuk in Svitlovodsk, Ukraine. The primary purpose of the dam is hydroelectric power generation and navigation. It is the third dam in the Dnieper cascade and creates the largest reservoir on the river. The dam has an associated lock and a power station with an installed capacity of 624 megawatts (837,000 hp). Construction on the dam began in May 1954, the reservoir began to fill in October 1959, the last generator was commissioned in 1960 and the dam and power plant were inaugurated in 1961. It is operated by Ukrhydroenergo.

It is located on the left bank of the Dnieper next to the Kremenchuk Hydroelectric Power Plant and close to the city of Kremenchuk. This is the only locality in Kirovohrad Oblast on the left bank of the Dnieper. Vlasivka belongs to Svitlovodsk urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: 7,258.

Kaniv Pumped Storage Power Station is an unfinished pumped-storage hydroelectric power plant in the village of Buchak near the city of Kaniv in Cherkasy Oblast, Ukraine. Construction of the Kaniv PSP with a capacity of 3600 MW began in 1986 but was halted in 1991. An updated project adapted to the current state of Ukraine's unified energy system envisages the construction of a pumped storage power plant with a reduced capacity of 1000 MW.
