Mika Nurmela (born 26 December 1971) is a Finnish football coach and former professional footballer, who played as a midfielder or winger. [1] He is currently the assistant head coach of Finland national team.

Contents

After his playing career, he also worked as the sporting director of his hometown club AC Oulu, when they played in Ykkönen in 2010s. His son Anselmi Nurmela is also a professional footballer. [2]

International

Nurmela was capped 71 times for the Finland national team, scoring four goals. He ended his international career in January 2008.

Jari Olavi Litmanen is a Finnish former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder or a second striker. He was the first-choice captain of the Finland national team between 1996 and 2008 in an international career that ran from 1989 to 2010. Australian rules football in Finland is controlled by the Finland AFL, which formed in 2006 after the creation of Finland's first Australian football club around a year earlier. Domestic matches began in 2007 with two teams, the Helsinki Heatseekers and Salo Juggernauts. Përparim Hetemaj is a Finnish assistant football coach of Klubi 04, and a former professional footballer who last played as a midfielder for Veikkausliiga club HJK. Born in Kosovo, Hetemaj arrived in Finland when he was six years old and played for HJK's youth teams; signing a professional contract in 2004 at age 17. He joined Greek side AEK Athens in 2006, and moved to Twente in 2009. Subsequently, in 2010, he was signed by Brescia and was transferred to Chievo in 2011. Hetemaj played a total of 300 matches in the Serie A, before returning to Finland in 2022 after a season with Reggina in the Serie B.

Mika Antero Helin is a Finnish retired footballer. He played a total of 84 games in the Veikkausliiga during a senior career which spanned 1998 to 2012. Helin also played futsal at a high level and competed internationally with the Finnish national futsal team.
