Minckleyella is a monotypic genus of gastropods belonging to the family Cochliopidae. The only species is Minckleyella balnearis. [1]

This freshwater snail genus is named in honor of Wendell L. Minckley. [2]

The species is found in the Chihuahuan Desert of northern Mexico. [1]

Wendell Lee Minckley was a college professor and leading expert on fish. He spent most of his career at Arizona State University.
