Misia Candle Night 2014 was a concert tour by Japanese singer Misia and the third installment of the Misia Candle Night concert series. The tour began on August 23, 2014, at the Sapporo Art Park in Sapporo, Hokkaido and concluded on September 13, 2014, at the Sanuki Theatron in Sanuki, Kagawa. [1] [2] An additional date was held on November 29, 2014, at the Nakagusuku Castle in Kitanakagusuku, Okinawa, as part of the World Heritage Theater project. [3]

Background

On April 18, 2014, Misia announced she would be embarking on a five-date outdoor installment of the Misia Candle Night concert series scheduled to begin on August 9, 2014. [4] On May 31, 2014, a page on the tour website was set up for fans to submit song requests for the tour. [5] On July 20, 2014, ticket sales were opened to the general public. [6] On August 6, 2014, it was announced that the first date of the tour would be cancelled because of the Halong typhoon. [7] The concert was postponed to September 13, 2014. [8] On October 1, 2014, a last date was announced, in participation with the World Heritage Project in Japan, to be held at a special outdoor stage neighboring the Nakagusuku Castle ruins on November 29, 2014. [9] The concert was broadcast on Wowow's Prime channel on January 31, 2015, [10] and later released as the video album Misia Candle Night at Okinawa on April 1, 2015. [11]

  • During the August 23, September 6-7 dates, Misia sang a string version of "Angels We Have Heard on High", arranged by Shirō Sagisu, with her backup singers to start the shows.

The Tour of Misia 2007 Ascension was the eleventh concert tour by Japanese recording artist Misia, in support of her album Ascension (2007). Comprising a set list of songs from Ascension and previous albums, including two hip-hop and house medleys, the tour visited arenas nationwide for a duration of four months. The tour was announced on August 3, 2006, two days prior to the start of Misia's Hoshizora no Live III Music Is a Joy Forever summer tour. Super Best Records: 15th Celebration is the second greatest hits album by Japanese singer Misia. It was released to commemorate Misia's 15th anniversary as a recording artist by Ariola Japan on February 20, 2013, one day shy of her actual 15th anniversary. The three-disc set was released in Blu-spec CD2 format and each disc was remastered by a different music engineer. The compilation includes four reworked tracks, the singles "Koi wa Owaranai Zutto", "Deepness" and "Back in Love Again", and the new song "Holiday", which was released as a promotional single for the album.

The album yielded the singles "Shiawase o Forever" and "Boku wa Pegasus Kimi wa Polaris". The lead track "Hope & Dreams" was released as a promotional single for the album.

It was released by Ariola Japan as the third single from her twelfth studio album, Love Bebop (2016) on 8 July 2015, one day after Misia's 37th birthday. The song was written by Japanese singer-songwriter Rica and arranged and produced by Takayuki Hattori.
