Dipendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev was the King of Nepal for three days from 1 to 4 June 2001. For the duration of his three day reign he was in a coma after he shot his father, King Birendra, his mother, Queen Aishwarya, his younger brother and sister, and other members of the royal family before turning the gun on himself in an event known as the Nepalese royal massacre.
Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev was the tenth Shah Ruler and the King of Nepal from 1972 until his assassination in 2001 by his son Dipendra. He was the eldest son of King Mahendra.

Miss Nepal 2011 Malina Joshi crowned Shristi Shrestha as Miss Nepal World 2012, who represented Nepal at Miss World 2012 with Nagma Shrestha and Subekshya Khadka crowned as Miss Nepal Earth 2012 and Miss Nepal International 2012 who went to Miss Earth 2012 and Miss International 2012 respectively.
Miss World 2013, the 63rd edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 28 September 2013 at Bali International Convention Center, South Kuta, Bali, Indonesia. It was the first time in Southeast Asia and it also was the first time in the pageant's history that the event was held in a Muslim majority country. Miss Nepal 2016 Asmi Shrestha crowned her successor Nikita Chandak as the new Miss Nepal World 2017 who represented Nepal in the Miss World 2017.
The International Convention Centre, formerly known as the Birendra International Convention Centre (BICC), is a major conference venue in Nepal. Located in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, it currently houses the Federal Parliament of Nepal. The complex uniquely blends Nepalese and modern architecture to create a luxuriously decorated solid structure with multifunctional modern facilities.
