Mississippi Highway 366 (MS 366) is a short highway in northeastern Mississippi. The road starts at MS 25 in Belmont, and travels southeastward through Golden to the Alabama state border. The route was created in 1958, and hasn't changed significantly since.

All of the route is in Tishomingo County. [3] MS 366 starts at MS 25 in Belmont, locally known as Second Street. The route travels southeastward out of the town, through farmland and small areas of trees. [2] At Searcy Road, MS 366 travels along a railway owned by Redmont Railway. [4] The road soon enters the village of Golden. Near the center of the village, the route intersects the eastern terminus of MS 760. MS 366 then crosses over the railroad and temporarily travels east. Past Bear Creek Road, the route curved southeastward, intersecting a few more county roads. After passing County Road 78, MS 366 ends at the Alabama state line. The road continues as Fourth Street Northwest into Red Bay. [2]

In 2013, Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) calculated as many as 3,900 vehicles traveling east of Long Street, and as few as 2,800 vehicles traveling south of Shady Cove. [5] The route is legally defined in Mississippi Code § 65-3-3. [6] MS 366 is maintained by MDOT. [1]

History

In 1958, a new road in southeastern Tishomingo County was designated MS 366. The new, paved route started from MS 25 and ended at the Alabama state line. [7] [8] The road has not changed significantly since. [8] [3]

Mississippi Highway 69 is a state highway in eastern Mississippi. The route starts at the Alabama state line, and travels northwestward to Columbus. MS 69 then goes through downtown Columbus, and ends at U.S. Route 45 and US 82 in the west side of the town. Before the road was designated as MS 69 in 1941, it was a gravel road from Columbus to the state line. The road was paved in asphalt in 1953. In 1992, US 82 was realigned, and MS 69 was extended through Columbus to its current northern terminus.

Mississippi Highway 350 is a highway in extreme northern Mississippi. Its western terminus is at MS 2 near Corinth. The road travels near the Tennessee state line to its eastern terminus at MS 25. The route was designated in 1981, and no significant changes have been made since.

Mississippi Highway 364 is a state highway in northeastern Mississippi, separated in two segments. The route starts at MS 30 southeast of Booneville and travels northeastward. The road travels through Altitude and ends at MS 365 in Cairo. The other segment begins in Holcut and travels eastward to its terminus at MS 25 at Midway. The route was designated in 1950, from a former segment of MS 30 between MS 365 and MS 25. The route was extended southwestwards to MS 30 around 1960, and the highway was completely paved by 1984. The section of MS 364 near the Tennessee–Tombigbee Waterway were removed by the same year, and another section from MS 365 to the waterway was removed ten years later.

Mississippi Highway 555 is a state highway in southwestern Mississippi. The route has two sections, both in Adams County. The first section starts at Ogden Road and travels northwestward to its terminus at US 61. The second section starts at the concurrency of MS 930 and MS 932 and the concurrency of US 61 and US 84 in Natchez. MS 555 travels northward through Pine Ridge and ends at Anna's Bottom Road near the Anna Site. The route travels by a few historical locations, including the Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church.

Mississippi Highway 554 is a short highway near Natchez, Mississippi. The route starts at MS 555, and travels eastward. The road intersects the entrance to Natchez–Adams County Airport before ending at U.S. Route 61. The route was designated in 1957, and it included a separate route in southern Adams County. Mississippi Highway 306 is a state highway in northern Mississippi. The route starts at U.S. Route 51 in Coldwater, and it travels eastward to an interchange at Interstate 55 (I-55) on the northern edge of the town. The road continues eastward across northern Tate County and ends at MS 305 near Independence. MS 306 was designated in 1952, and it was constructed in 1953 from US 51 to MS 305. The route was paved in asphalt by 1956, and an interchange was built at I-55 by 1967.

Mississippi Highway 612 is a highway in southeastern Mississippi. The route starts at MS 613, southwest of Lucedale. It travels southeastward through George County, crossing over Escatawpa River. The route ends at the Alabama state line, and County Road 7 continues into Mobile County. MS 612 was designated in 1966, and no significant changes have been made to the route since.

Mississippi Highway 444 (MS 444) is a short highway in western Mississippi. Its western terminus is at MS 1, and travels eastward through six miles (9.7 km) of farmland. The route enters Duncan, and ends at U.S. Route 61 (US 61) and US 278, its eastern terminus. MS 444 was designated in 1958, and became paved two years later.

Mississippi Highway 332 is a highway in central Mississippi. Its western terminus is at U.S. Route 51 in Grenada. The route travels northeastward through farmland to Grenada Municipal Airport. The road continues to its eastern terminus at Toe Road, southwest of the Grenada Lake. The designation was created in 1958 for a former segment of MS 7, which was rerouted north of the lake.

Mississippi Highway 548 is a highway in western Mississippi. The route starts near Bruce Road, just east of Hermanville, and travels southeastward, before ending at the Claiborne–Copiah county line. Mississippi Highway 382 is a state highway in eastern Mississippi. The route starts at U.S. Route 45 Alternate near Prairie and travels eastward. The road travels through farmland as it reaches Prairie. MS 382 then ends at MS 25 near Aberdeen. The road was constructed around 1951 from MS 45W west of Prairie to US 45 in Aberdeen, and it was designated by 1958. The eastern terminus was changed to MS 25 from US 45 by 1967.

Mississippi Highway 504 is a state highway in central Mississippi. The route starts at MS 15 south of Newton and travels southeastward. The road turns east at a county road near Garlandville and travels to its eastern terminus at MS 503 in the unincorporated area of Hero. The route was designated around 1956, from MS 15 to MS 503, and has not changed significantly since.

Mississippi Highway 556 is a state highway in southwestern Mississippi. The route starts at MS 184 in the town of Meadville and travels southeastwards. MS 556 crosses over the concurrency of U.S. Route 84 and US 98 inside the Homochitto National Forest, and the route ends at US 98 south of Bude. The route was designated around 1953, after a gravel road from US 84 to US 98, which had existed since 1928, was paved.

Mississippi Highway 403 is a state highway in central Mississippi. The route starts at U.S. Route 82 and MS 15 in Mathiston, and it travels north away from the town. It then turns east near Natchez Trace Parkway and then travels below it. MS 403 ends at the intersection of Clarkson Road and Old US 82 near a county highway maintenance barn. The route was designated by 1960, after a paved road extending from Mathiston was constructed around 1958. An extension northwards to MS 50 and MS 341 existed from 1960 to 1967.
