Sectors
Model Town Humak has three sectors:
- Humak Sharqi (Eastern Humak)
- Humak Gharbi (Western Humak)
- Humak Zimni (Humak extension)
Schools and mosques are abundant throughout the town, with one in Humak Zimni being particularly prominent due to its large graveyard.
"Children Welfare School" is one of the government schools responsible for educating and training of children up to age seven.
Humak Sharqi
Humak Sharqui is located on the eastern entrance to the town and is the oldest sector. The area is mostly residential, having very few commercial areas.
Humak Gharbi
The western region of Humak is mostly commercial. There are also two government schools. There is also main Quba market in Humak Gharbi sector. Some main shops in Quba Market are, Al Madina Cloth House, Waleed General Store, and Masha Allah General Store .
Humak Zimni
This sector was developed after the above-mentioned sectors as an extension of Humak. Its back coincides with the "Defence Housing Authority phase II" (DHA-II). In addition to the graveyard, there is a community centre with a municipal park in development. Zayneb Hospital is a private hospital of the area providing all health amenities including lab, operation theater and women-child healthcare facilities. There is a public park known as Humak park.
The Islamabad Capital Territory is the only federal territory of Pakistan containing Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. Located on the northern edge of the Pothohar Plateau and at the foot of the Margalla Hills, The ICT shares borders with the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the west and with the province of Punjab in the remaining directions. It covers an area of 1,165 square kilometres and according to the 2017 national census, had a population of over 1 million in the city proper, while over 2 million in the whole territory. The territory is represented in the National Assembly by NA-52, NA-53, and NA-54 constituencies and by four seats in the Senate.
Islamabad is the capital city of Pakistan. It is the country's ninth-most populous city with a population of over 1.2 million people and is federally administered by the Pakistani government as part of the Islamabad Capital Territory. Built as a planned city in the 1960s, it replaced Karachi as Pakistan's official national capital. The city is notable for its high standards of living, safety, cleanliness, abundant greenery and architecture.
Blue Area is the central business district of Islamabad, Pakistan along the Jinnah Avenue. The area is a 2-kilometer (1.2 mi)-long corridor along Islamabad's Khayaban-e-Quaid-e-Azam, Islamabad's primary arterial road which leads up to the main government buildings. It is characterized by clean, wide roads and tall buildings among the panoramic greenery of the adjacent areas.
Gujar Khan is a city in Rawalpindi District, Punjab, Pakistan. It is also the headquarters of Gujar Khan Tehsil, the largest tehsil of Punjab by land area.
Rawalakot is the capital of Poonch district in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. It is located in the Pir Panjal Range.
Capital Development Authority, is a public benefit corporation responsible for providing municipal services in Islamabad Capital Territory. The CDA was established on 14 June 1960 by executive order entitled Pakistan Capital Regulation. As of 2016, most of CDA's municipal services and departments have been transferred to the newly created Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation, although CDA is still in charge of estate management, project execution and sector developments.
Kahuta is a census-designated place, city and tehsil in the Rawalpindi District of Punjab, Pakistan. The population of the Kahuta Tehsil is approximately 220,576 at the 2017 census. Kahuta is the home to the Kahuta Research Laboratories (KRL) which was founded to undertake the Kahuta Project as part of the atomic bomb project. Before the Kahuta Project, the site was occupied by retired officers of Pakistan Armed Forces and contained a small public community, including a private high school.
Fauji Foundation, , is a Pakistani conglomerates company which is active in fertilizer, cement, food, power generation, gas exploration, LPG marketing and distribution, financial services, and security services. The word "Fauji" is an Urdu word that means "soldier" and the company was set up in order to provide employment opportunities to Pakistani ex-military personnel and to generate funds for the welfare of widows, and families of martyrs.
Sehr Bagla is a Village and Union Council of Murree Tehsil in the Murree District of Punjab, Pakistan. It is located in the north-east of the Tehsil and is bounded to the north by Potha Sharif, to the south by Ghel, to the west by Rawat and to the east by Kashmir
Chaklala is a major suburban town of Rawalpindi in the Punjab province of Pakistan.
Islamabad is located in the Pothohar Plateau in the northern part of Pakistan, within the Islamabad Capital Territory. It is a well-organized city divided into different sectors and zones. It was ranked as a Gamma + world city in 2020. The city is home to Pakistan Monument, which is built on top of a hill in Shakarparian, and the Faisal Mosque, one of the largest mosques in South Asia and the sixth -largest mosque as per area in the world. The Capital Development Authority is tasked with developing the city and its facilities.
Sihala is a town and union council located in Islamabad Capital Territory, Pakistan, with a population of just over 25,000. It is geographically situated on Kahuta Road and Islamabad Expressway.
Alipur and Farash are two separate villages which are centuries old, whereas "Farash Town" is a settlement on the land acquired by the Capital Development Authority from the people of surrounding villages like Farash and Punjgran. Alipur and Farash, in Islamabad, are located on the Lehtrar road approx. 17km from Rawal lake and 9km from Chak Shahzad. Farash is a Capital Development Authority approved model urban shelter scheme which came into being in 1990. Homeless people from Bari Imam and other Kachi Abadis of Islamabad were settled in Farash.
The Kak Pul, also written as Kaak Pul or Kaak Bridge, is a bridge in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is built on the Soan River on Islamabad Expressway, and serves as an entry point for vehicles entering Islamabad.
I-11 is a sector of Islamabad, Pakistan. It is a lightly built area, located on the southwestern edge of the city. I-11 borders Rawalpindi to the south and neighbors I-10 and I-12, while sectors H-10, H-11 and H-12 are located adjacent. CDA has taken the possession of land from illegal encroachers and land grabbers and development work has started to hand over the possession to original owners of the plots.
The Defence Housing Authority, Islamabad-Rawalpindi (DHAI-R) is an affluent residential neighbourhood or a gated community located within Islamabad–Rawalpindi metropolitan area of Pakistan. The neighbourhood is divided into five parts and straddles the Punjab provincial border. This neighbourhood was primarily established for military personnel in 1992 by the Armed Forces of Pakistan Welfare Department, however, currently both civilian and military families reside there. Today, DHA, Islamabad serves as one of the twin cities' most posh residential neighbourhoods.
The Margalla Avenue or Margalla Expressway is a partially-operational under-construction six-lane highway of 33 kilometers in the Margalla Hills area in the suburbs of Islamabad. It was planned in 1966 but was stalled till 2021. The expressway/avenue is an alternative to Srinagar Highway and would provide easy access to the tenth and eleventh sectors of Islamabad to N-5 National Highway. This road is a crucial section of the larger Rawalpindi Ring Road project as it connects the town of Sangjani to the town of Barakahu.
