David Morales is an American disc jockey (DJ) and record producer. In addition to his production and DJ work, Morales is also a remixer. Born in New York City, he is of Puerto Rican ancestry.

"Oye Mi Canto " is a 1989 song by Gloria Estefan. It was released as a single from Cuts Both Ways, the first album branded with Gloria Estefan as a solo-artist, rather than as "Gloria Estefan with Miami Sound Machine". In the U.S., it was the fourth single from the album and was released in April 1990. It was the second single in the U.K., released on September 4, 1989, and throughout Europe in September and October 1989. A latin dance track, the song exemplified some of Estefan's musical roots, much like in the style of her earlier music with Miami Sound Machine, and is much in the style of "Conga" and "Rhythm Is Gonna Get You". Though the song was only a minor chart hit in the US, it was more successful internationally. Furthermore, Estefan obtained her first MTV Video Music Award for this song for the "International Viewer's Choice Awards" in 1990. The remixes of the song and short editions were created by Pablo Flores, who would go on to remix many other Gloria Estefan recordings, as well as Keith Cohen and David Morales.

This song is the Spanish-language version of the song "Steal Your Heart", from Destiny. It was released on international editions of the album, as well as a single in the United States and Spain, where the single peaked at number 28. The music video was recorded live from the Evolution World Tour in Mexico City at the Estadio Azteca. In 2004, "No pretendo" was made available on the compilations, Amor y Suerte: Éxitos Románticos, and Oye Mi Canto!: Los Grandes Exitos in 2006.
The Hits Album 10 or Hits 10 is the tenth release of the Hits compilation series, compiled by BMG, CBS and WEA. It was released in the UK on 22 May 1989. With this release, the compilers returned to the tradition of a volume issue number and the revival of artwork used from Hits 6 to Hits 8, with the issue number forming a central graphic against a black background. It was a successful album and reached number one on the UK Compilation Album chart for six consecutive weeks and achieved a Platinum sales award.
