Frederica is a town in Kent County, Delaware, United States. It is part of the Dover, Delaware Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 1,073 in 2020. ILC Dover, the company which manufactured the spacesuits for the Apollo and Skylab astronauts of the 1960s and 1970s, along with fabricating the suit component of the Space Shuttle's Extravehicular Mobility Unit (EMU), is located nearby.

Barratt's Chapel is a chapel located to the north of Frederica in Kent County, Delaware. It was built in 1780 on land donated by Philip Barratt, owner of Barratt Hall, and a prominent local landowner and political figure. Barratt, who had recently become a Methodist, wanted to build a center for the growing Methodist movement in Delaware.
Aspendale is a historic house and plantation property on Delaware Route 300 west of Kenton, Kent County, Delaware, United States. The main house, built 1771–73, has been under a single family's ownership since construction and is a rare, well-preserved example of a Georgian "Quaker plan" house. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and declared a National Historic Landmark in 1970.
Chestertown Historic District is a historic district in Chestertown, Maryland. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1970, and its area was increased in 1984. The town on the Chester River, became the chief port for tobacco and wheat on the Eastern Shore of Maryland between 1750 and 1790. The port declined thereafter, as Baltimore became the major port for such activity. In consequence, Chestertown acquired a collection of more than fifty Georgian style town houses. The 18th-century residential area survived without harm a 1910 fire that destroyed the central business district of Chestertown.
Airy Hill is a historic home located at Chestertown, Kent County, Maryland, United States. It is a two-section dwelling consisting of a 1+1⁄2-story frame wing and a two-story Federal-style brick house. The brick section was added in the early 1790s, together with a middle section that now connects the two. Also on the property is a brick smokehouse and an early-19th-century cemetery.
Chesterville Brick House, also known as Goodings Store, Isaac Spencer House and Salter House, is a historic home and former commercial building located at Chesterville, Kent County, Maryland, United States. It is a 2+1⁄2-story brick building, thought to have been built about 1773. The building has changed ownership many times. It was originally located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Maryland Route 447 and Maryland Route 290, abandoned in 1970, and vandalized prior to being moved in 1973; approximately 250 feet from its original site.
Wheel of Fortune is a historic home located near Leipsic, Delaware. It was built in the 18th century, and is a two-story, five-bay, one room deep whitewashed brick dwelling in the Georgian style. It has a gable roof and the front facade features a one-bay entrance portico. It has a two-story rear wing, that originally contained a kitchen and servants quarters. Also on the property are a contributing meat house and milk house. The property was owned by Congressman John A. Nicholson (1827-1906) before 1888, and later by U.S. Senator James H. Hughes (1867-1953), who purchased it in 1910.
Christ Church is a historic Episcopal church and cemetery located at S. State and Water Streets at Dover, Kent County, Delaware. It is located on one of two public squares set aside for houses of worship in the Dover town plan of 1717. The church was established as a mission church of the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in 1704 and the building constructed in 1734. It was remodeled in 1859 and 1887. It is a brick structure composed of the original rectangular nave, surrounded by brick appendages. Adjacent to the church is the cemetery, with a number of notable burials. The cemetery includes a cenotaph to a signer of the Declaration of Independence Caesar Rodney; the actual location of Rodney's remains is unknown.
The William Ruth Mansion House is a historic house in Leipsic, Delaware. Originally built for William Ruth, a merchant and trustee of the first free school in Delaware, the house was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on April 11, 1973.
Brecknock, also known as the Howell's Mill Seat, is a historic home located near Camden, Kent County, Delaware. The house is in four sections; two of brick and two frame. The original one-room house possibly dates before 1700 and is constructed of brick. A brick section was added in the 1740s. The 2+1⁄2-story, frame, main house was added in the mid-18th century and abuts the second brick section. The final frame section was added in the 1880s and is a four-room apartment originally built for the wagon driver, but later incorporated into the house.
Bradford-Loockerman House, also known as the Loockerman House, is a historic home located at Dover, Kent County, Delaware. The house is in two sections; one of brick and one frame. The original section dates from 1742 and is a 2+1⁄2-story, brick, nearly square five bay structure in a First Period English(late-Medieval) / early-Georgian style. Attached is a substantial later frame addition. It fronts directly on the sidewalk with no front dooryard, but has a large and very handsome garden behind the main house and on its south side.
Town Point, also known as Kingston-upon-Hull and Logan's Lane, is a historic home located at Dover, Kent County, Delaware. It was built in three sections, with the earliest dated to about 1677. The oldest section is a brick, three bay structure consisting of two rooms and a center hall. A one-story, brick kitchen wing was added to the original section at an early date. A five-bay frame second story was added early in the 19th century.
Old Statehouse is a historic state capitol building located on The Green at Dover, Kent County, Delaware. It was built between 1787 and 1792, and is a two-story, five bay, brick structure in a Middle Georgian style. The front facade features a fanlight over the center door and above it a Palladian window at the center of the second floor. It has a shingled side gabled roof topped with an octagonal cupola. A number of attached wings were added between 1836 and 1926. From 1792 to 1932 it was the sole seat of State government, while from 1792 until 1873 it served also as Kent County Court House.
Barratt Hall, also known as the Philip Barratt House, is a historic home located near Frederica, Kent County, Delaware. It dates to the mid-18th century, and is a two-story, three-bay, center-hall plan brick dwelling in the Georgian-style. In 1784, Bishops Thomas Coke and Francis Asbury met in the house with Mrs. Miriam Barratt and eleven preachers. They held council here which ended in sending Freeborn Garrettson to summon preachers to the Christmas Conference in Baltimore, Maryland, at which the Methodist Church in America was organized. It was the home of Philip Barratt, who donated land and, together with Waitman Sipple, erected Barratt's Chapel in 1780.
Bonwell House is a historic home located near Frederica, Kent County, Delaware. It dates to the mid-18th century, and is a two-story plus attic, four bay, brick dwelling. It has a lower west wing. Bonwell House was the nucleus of a group of mills called the Leamington Mills.
Hoffecker-Lockwood House, also known as "Bellevue," was a historic home located at Kenton, Kent County, Delaware. The house dated to the mid-18th century, and was a two-story, three-bay, hall-and-parlor plan brick dwelling. Attached was a low, two-story, west gable brick wing built part of the original structure and served as a service wing. The interior featured Georgian-style paneling. Also on the property were a contributing kitchen, smokehouse, barn and stable.
The Frederica Historic District is a national historic district located at Frederica, Kent County, Delaware. It encompasses 118 contributing buildings in the town of Frederica. The oldest buildings date to the middle of the 18th century. The district includes a number of 18th and 19th century commercial and residential buildings in a variety of popular architectural styles including Greek Revival, Italianate, and Federal. Notable buildings include Trinity Methodist Church (1856), Robbins Hardware Store, the Hathorn House, Wootten Store, John Dill Store, Robert Dill House, firehouse, post office, and the Governor Hall House, the home of Delaware Governor John W. Hall (1817-1892).
Matthew Lowber House is a historic home located at Magnolia, Kent County, Delaware. It was built in 1774, and is a two-story, three-bay, brick dwelling, with a two-bay frame addition added about 1855. The interior has excellent panelling, the original wide floor boards, and a winding enclosed stairway. An addition was added to the back of the house in 2020.
Old Brick Store, also known as the Old Brick Hotel and The Granary, is a historic commercial building located near Smyrna, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built about 1764, and is a two- to three-story, three bay brick building. The building marks the location of what may have been a grain shipping center for southern New Castle County.
