Mr. Nepal is a male beauty pageant held in Nepal. Founded in 2001, [1] it is currently organized by Next Models Nepal, a Kathmandu-based modeling agency. The current Mr. Nepal is Samarpan Jung Karki of Biratnagar who was crowned on July 23, 2023 in Kathmandu. [2]

Mister World

At the end of 2015, Mr. Nepal acquired the right to select Nepal's representative for Mister World. [12] Mr. Nepal 2016, Ganesh Agrawal, was the first Nepali to compete at this prestigious event.

Mr. Nepal 2023 Edition

Newlook Mr. Nepal 2023 Final was held on July 23, 2023 at Hotel Yak & Yeti, Durbar Marg, Kathmandu. 19 contestants from all over the country competed for the coveted title. Throughout the competition, the contestants underwent comprehensive training sessions and challenges which include swimming, football, rock climbing, social service, short hiking, catwalk, personality development, and public speaking. At the end, 32 years old pilot Samarpan Jung Karki of Biratnagar was declared as Newlook Mr. Nepal 2023. He was rewarded with a cash prize of Rs. 500,000. [19]

Miss Kathmandu is a beauty pageant that selects the representative for the Kathmandu Valley in the Miss Nepal pageant. The current titleholder is Prinsha Shrestha, who is the reigning Miss Nepal Earth 2014.

The National Film Awards is the most prominent and prestigious award of Nepali cinema. The first National Film Award was held in 2005, in the presence of His Majesty's King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah. Team Chauraha Dhangadhi, often called Chauraha Dhangadhi is one of the six franchises competing on Dhangadhi Premier League. Aarohan Theatre Group is a theatre group in Nepal. It produces shows incorporating various cultures, religions and rituals of Nepal. The group has produced 15 TV shows for Nepal Television and produced various radio dramas. One of the radio drama was 136 episodes long. The group has performed its plays in India, China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Russia, South Korea, Thailand, Norway, Denmark and United States. It has two theater halls in its Biratnagar premise.

Honda Miss Universe Nepal 2020, the 1st ever annual Miss Universe Nepal beauty pageant, was held on 30 December 2020 at the newly built Kathmandu Marriott Hotel in Kathmandu. Uddhab Adhikari was designated by the Umanga Creation Pvt. ltd. after it received the official licence from the Miss Universe organisation and the first ever representative of Nepal in Miss Universe 2017 crowned Anshika Sharma as Miss Universe Nepal to represent Nepal in Miss Universe 2020.

Oriflame Miss Universe Nepal 2021, the 2nd annual Miss Universe Nepal beauty pageant, was held on 30 October 2021 at Hotel Yak & Yeti in Kathmandu. Anshika Sharma crowned Sujita Basnet as Miss Universe Nepal to represent Nepal in Miss Universe 2021.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Miss Grand Nepal</span> National beauty contest in Nepal

Miss Grand Nepal is an annual female beauty pageant in Nepal, founded in 2016 by a Kathmandu-based businessperson Sazum Katwal of Looks Entertainment, aiming to select the country representative to compete at its parent international pageant Miss Grand International. The license of the contest was later transferred to RK Entertainment Group and Izodom Nepal & Cosmo Group in 2017 and 2019, respectively. However, even lost the contest license in 2019, the RK group has held the Miss Grand national contest annually to select the delegates for other international contests since then. Currently, the contest licensed by the Thai-parent platform was managed by Suresh Tamang.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Miss Grand Nepal 2022</span> Beauty pageant edition

Miss Grand Nepal 2022 was the sixth edition of Miss Grand Nepal beauty pageant, co-organized by Izodom Nepal, Cosmo Group, and Bolly Club Group, held on 10 September 2022 at Hotel Shanker in Kathmandu. Fourteen national candidates, directly chosen by the central organizer through an online application and the audition round, competed for the title, of whom, Aishworya Shrestha from Bagmati Province was named the winner and then represented the country at Miss Grand International 2022 held on October 25, in Indonesia, but she got a non-placement.
