Miss Puerto Rico is a national title bestowed on the women representing Puerto Rico in international beauty pageants.
Miss Universe 1986 was the 35th Miss Universe pageant, held on 21 July 1986 at the Atlapa Convention Centre in Panama City, Panama. Bárbara Palacios Teyde of Venezuela was crowned by Deborah Carthy-Deu of Puerto Rico. Seventy-seven contestants competed in this year.
Miss World 1999, the 49th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 4 December 1999 at the Olympia Hall in London, United Kingdom. The pageant was hosted by Ulrika Jonsson and model Melanie Sykes. The 1999 pageant attracted 94 delegates from all over the world. The 1999 pageant also marked the first time that Scotland and Wales fielded their respective delegates. At the end of the event, 20-year-old Miss India Yukta Mookhey went on to win the Miss World 1999 crown. The preliminary swimsuit competition was held in Malta. She was crowned by her predecessor Linor Abargil of Israel. Protesters gathered outside the event, decrying it as a "sexist cattle market".
Mister World 2007 was the 5th edition of the Mister World competition. It was held on March 31, 2007 at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China. Gustavo Gianetti of Brazil crowned Juan Garcia Postigo of Spain at the end of the event.
Mister World 2003 was the 4th edition of the Mister World competition. It was held at the Brewery Hall in London, England on August 9, 2003. Ignacio Kliche of Uruguay crowned Gustavo Narciso Gianetti of Brazil at the end of the event.

Miss World 1960 was the tenth anniversary of the Miss World pageant, held on 8 November 1960 at the Lyceum Ballroom in London, United Kingdom. 39 candidates competed for the Miss World. The winner was Norma Cappagli, representing Argentina. She was crowned by racing driver Stirling Moss, who served as one of the judging panel.

Mister Puerto Rico is the common name or sash used to identify a Puerto Rican representative in an international male beauty pageant. Several organizations have held annual male pageants in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Currently, Mister Puerto Rico Model and Mister Puerto Rico Teenager are the most important male beauty pageant events. Each year both events are held to select the representatives from the island.

Miss Supranational is an annual international beauty pageant, started in 2009, and with most contests held in Poland. A parallel male contest, Mister Supranational, was launched in 2016, also in Poland.
