<span class="mw-page-title-main">Mungyeong Saejae</span> Mountain pass

Mungyeong Saejae (Korean: 문경새재) is a mountain pass in central South Korea. It lies on Joryeong Mountain between the main peak (1017 m) and Sinseon Peak (967 m). The pass itself rises to 642 metres (2,106 ft) above sea level. Mungyeong Saejae connects Mungyeong City, North Gyeongsang province with Goesan County in North Chungcheong province. Water flowing down from the Mungyeong side of the pass eventually flows into the Nakdong River and meets the Sea of Japan at Busan. Runoff from the Goesan side eventually flows into the Han River, which passes through Seoul to meet the Yellow Sea at Incheon.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Paljoryeong</span>

Paljoryeong is a mountain pass in southeastern South Korea, lying between the peaks of Bonghwasan and Sangwonsan, which are both slightly over 660 meters high. The pass itself is slightly less than 400 metres (1,300 ft) above sea level. It lies on the border of modern-day Daegu metropolitan city and Cheongdo, Gyeongsangbuk-do province. At one time it was the major overland route between Daegu and the region to its south. The north side of the pass is in Daegu, in Gachang-myeon, Dalseong-gun. The south side is in Cheongdo's Iseo-myeon.

The Jungbunaeryuk Line is a rail line partly in operation and partly under construction from Bubal to Mungyeong. Construction started in November 2015. The line opened in December 2021 between Bubal on the Gyeonggang Line & Chungju on the Chungbuk Line. The KTX line was extended in 30 November 2024 from Chungju to Mungyeong. Another extension from Mungyeong to Gimcheon was approved in December 2022.

Mungyeong Jeon clan is one of the Korean clans. Their Bon-gwan is in Mungyeong, North Gyeongsang Province. According to the research held in 2000, the number of Mungyeong Jeon clan’s member was 5535. Their founder was Jeon Yu gyeom who worked as Grand Secretariat of Long Tu Court in Yuan dynasty. He entered Goryeo as a fatherly master of Princess Noguk who had a marriage to an ordinary person planned by Gongmin of Goryeo in 1351. He worked as Pingzhangshi and married Ch'oe Yŏng’s sister. After that, he was settled in Kaesong and his government post reached to Jeongdang munhak. Then, his descendant founded Mungyeong Jeon clan and made Mungyeong, Mungyeong Jeon clan’s Bon-gwan.

The 2023 WK League was the 15th season of the WK League, the top division of women's football in South Korea. The regular season ran from 24 March to 3 September 2023, and the play-offs from 11 to 25 November 2023. Incheon Hyundai Steel Red Angels won their eleventh consecutive title after beating Suwon FC in the final. As winners, they qualified for the inaugural edition of the AFC Women's Champions League.

Yi Hyeon-il - 이현일 - 李玄逸 (1627–1704) was a scholar-official of the Joseon period of Korea. His pen name was Ikseung (익승,翼昇), his nickname was Garam (갈암,葛庵) and his posthumous name was Mungyeong . He led the Toegye school during the reign of King Sukjong and was a prominent Namin.

Cheongungak is a historic boarding house in Sang-ri, Mungyeong-eup, Mungyeong, North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. It was constructed in 1928, and most notably was where South Korean leader Park Chung Hee stayed as a young man, from April 1937 to March 1940, when he taught at the nearby Mungyeong Public Normal School.
