Musiikkituottajat – IFPI Finland ry, or Musiikkituottajat for short, (English: Music Producers; formerly known as Suomen Ääni- ja kuvatallennetuottajat ÄKT) [1] is the umbrella organization of recording producers active in Finland, with 23 record labels as its members.
Finland, officially the Republic of Finland, is a country in Northern Europe bordering the Baltic Sea, Gulf of Bothnia, and Gulf of Finland, between Norway to the north, Sweden to the northwest, and Russia to the east. Finland is a Nordic country and is situated in the geographical region of Fennoscandia. The capital and largest city is Helsinki. Other major cities are Espoo, Vantaa, Tampere, Oulu and Turku.
The aim of the association is "to improve the cultural-political situation and legal protections of record production, develop the distribution and production of recordings and music videos and participate in governing and overseeing the production rights". Musiikkituottajat is the Finnish representative of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). It is also one of the three member associations of Gramex. [2]
The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) is the organisation that represents the interests of the recording industry worldwide. It is a non-profit members' organisation registered in Switzerland and founded in Italy in 1933. It operates a Secretariat based in London, with regional offices in Brussels, Hong Kong and Miami.
Since 1994, Musiikkituottajat has been responsible for composing the official records chart, the Official Finnish Charts. The list was produced in cooperation with the Finnish Broadcasting Company (Yleisradio) until late 2009. The association governs the ISRC codes used in Finland and it also keeps account of the best-selling recordings of all time in Finland and awards acts with the gold and platinum certifications (below).
The Official Finnish Charts are national record charts in Finland composed by Musiikkituottajat – IFPI Finland. The name Suomen virallinen lista/Finlands officiella lista, which is singular in both Finnish and Swedish, is used generically to refer to both the albums and the singles chart, and the context reveals which chart is meant.
In certifying recordings sold in Finland, Musiikkituottajat takes into account both physical and digital sales. The certifications awarded by Musiikkituottajat and their sales limits are the following: [3]
Note: Domestic albums use the current threshold for albums released on or after January 1, 2010. For foreign albums, the threshold was used for albums released on or after January 1, 2008. Double, triple and multi-platinum award levels were introduced in 1989.
Video certifications was introduced in June 2004. For extended plays, it uses the current thresholds, for releases on or after January 1, 2010.
Music recording certification was introduced in Finland in September 1971.

The organization was established in 1970 under the name Äänilevytuottajat ("Sound Record Producers"). Before 1970, the companies in the industry were unionized in Soitinalan Tuottajaliitto ("Organization of Musical Instrument Producers"). In 1982, the organization took the name Suomen Ääni- ja kuvatallennetuottajat ÄKT, [2] which became the current Musiikkituottajat on August 26, 2010.

AMPROFON is an associated member of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).
Jenni Mari Vartiainen is a Finnish pop singer. Before her professional musical endeavours, she was a figure skater in her teen-age years and attended the Kuopio Senior High of Music and Dance. Vartiainen rose to publicity by winning the Finnish talent show Popstars in October 2002 with Susanna Korvala, Ushma Karnani and Jonna Pirinen. The four formed the band Gimmel that released three studio albums, sold over 160,000 records and received three Emma Awards, accolades for outstanding achievements in music, awarded by the Finnish music industry federation, Musiikkituottajat. The band broke up in October 2004.

It was founded in February 2008, when three organizations merged, namely IFPI Belgium, the local chapter of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), which represented the music industry, the Belgian Video Federation, which represented the video industry, and the Belgian Luxembourg Interactive Software Association, which represented the video game industry. BEA is listed as the local record industry association in Belgium by the IFPI.

Kukkurukuu is the second album by a Finnish band Mariska & Pahat Sudet. It was released on 14 September 2012. In the first week of release, the album peaked at number three on the Official Finnish Album Chart. According to IFPI Finland, the album sold 11,744 copies during 2012.
Sotke mut is the debut studio album by Finnish singer-songwriter Sanni. It was released on September 20, 2013 by Warner Music Finland and was produced by Hank Solo. The album peaked at number-nine on the Finnish albums charts, and includes the top ten singles "Prinsessoja ja astronautteja" and "Me ei olla enää me". It has since been certified platinum by Musiikkituottajat after selling over 20,000 copies.
