Chabad, also known as Lubavitch, Habad and Chabad-Lubavitch, is an Orthodox Jewish Hasidic dynasty. Chabad is one of the world's best-known Hasidic movements, particularly for its outreach activities. It is one of the largest Hasidic groups and Jewish religious organizations in the world. Loewenthal is noted as the author of Communicating the Infinite: The Emergence of the Habad School (1990), an important work on the scholarship of Hasdisim; he has also authored Hasidism Beyond Modernity: Essays in Habad Thought and History (2019) as well as many scholarly articles and publications on the Chabad mysticism.
CTeen is an international organization dedicated to educating Jewish youth about their heritage. It is the teen-focused arm of the Chabad movement, operated by Merkos L'Inyonei Chinuch and has over 100,000 members worldwide with 600 chapters in thirty seven countries. It is open to all Jewish teens regardless of affiliation and has been called “the fastest growing and most diverse Jewish youth organization in the world”.
