The NGVB Stadion is an association football stadium in Paramaribo, Suriname. It is home to SVB Eerste Klasse club PVV, the football club of the Surinamese police force. The stadium also serves as a primary stadium for the SVB Eerste Klasse, and the occasional Hoofdklasse fixture. The stadium is owned and operated by the N.G.V.B. (Nieuwe Generatie Voetbal Bond, English: New Generation Football Association) a member association of the SVB. [1]

The N.G.V.B. Stadium is located in Southwestern part of Paramaribo on the Prins Hendrikstraat. [2]

SVB Topklasse

The Topklasse is a football championship for clubs run by the Surinaamse Voetbal Bond. The Topklasse is at the top of the system of Surinamese football championships. The league currently comprises twelve teams and operates a system of promotion and relegation. Seasons run from November to June of the next year, with teams playing 22 games in the regular season. The league was known as the Hoofdklasse but became Topklasse for the season of 2016/2017 and upcoming seasons. The Hoofdklasse name is now used by the former Eerste Klasse, the second division of Suriname.

S.V. Notch Surinamese soccerclub

Sporting Vereniging Notch is a Surinamese football club based in Moengo, Marowijne. The club presently competes in the Surinamese Hoofdklasse, the top tier of Surinamese football. Notch earned promotion into the Hoofdklasse after winning the Surinamese Eerste Klasse, the second tier of Surinamese football. The club kit manufacturer is Jako.

Sportvereniging Nationaal Leger known as SNL, is the Surinamese football club of the national military, which currently plays in the SVB Topklasse. They play their home games in Paramaribo at the Dr. Ir. Franklin Essed Stadion.

The 2015–16 Surinamese Hoofdklasse was the 83rd season of the SVB Hoofdklasse, the highest football league competition of Suriname. The season began in November 2015, and finished in June 2016.

Dr. Ir. Franklin Essed Stadion formerly known as the Flora Stadion and commonly called the Frank Essed Stadion is a multi-purpose stadium in Paramaribo, Suriname. It is home to SVB Hoofdklasse club SV Leo Victor and SVB Eerste Klasse outfits, SV Cosmos, Royal '95 and Super Red Eagles. It is also the home stadium of SNL, the football club of the national military of Suriname, competing in the Eerste Klasse. The stadium was named after Surinamese politician and forestry scientist Frank Essed.

SVB Lidbondentoernooi

The Lidbondentoernooi is an annual football tournament organized by the Surinamese Football Association (SVB) since 2006. It is also known as the SURIBET Lidbondentoernooi due to sponsorship. The tournament is contested by the winners and runners-up of the districts leagues from the 20 regional member associations of the SVB. The winner and runner-up of the tournament can then qualify for the SVB Eerste Klasse, the 2nd tier of football in Suriname.

Iwan Otto "Pietje" Fränkel & died 6 December 2019), is a former Surinamese International football player who has played for Transvaal in the Hoofdklasse, Blauw-Wit in the Dutch Eredivisie, Schwarz-Weiß Essen in the Regionalliga West in West Germany, Royal Antwerp F.C. in the Belgian Eerste Klasse and for SC Amersfoort in the Dutch Eerste Divisie.

The 2016–17 Telesur Topklasse is the 84th season of top tier Suriname football league and 1st season of the Topklasse, the highest football league competition of Suriname. The season began in November 2016, and ended in June 2017. Telesur became official broadcaster and sponsor of the Topklasse before the start of this season.
