Since its opening in 1953, the stadium has been the official home stadium of both football teams S.V. Transvaal and S.V. Robinhood and the official national stadium of the Suriname national football team. With an official capacity of 7,100, it is the largest stadium in Suriname.

De Koel, also known as Covebo Stadion – De Koel, is a multi-purpose stadium in Venlo, Limburg, Netherlands. It is currently mostly used for football matches and is the home stadium of VVV-Venlo. The stadium is able to hold 8,000 spectators, and was built in 1972.

The Stadion Woudestein, is a multi-use stadium in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It is currently used mainly for football matches and is the home stadium of Excelsior, as well as for the women's team Excelsior Barendrecht. The stadium is able to hold 4,500 people and was built in 1902. It remains one of the smallest stadiums in the Netherlands, tenanted by a professional club. The stadium has a stand named after Robin van Persie, who played was part of the Excelsior youth academy between 1997 and 1999.

The stadium is able to hold 4,100 spectators, and was built in 1948. Formerly the stadium was known as De Krommedijk[də ˈkrɔmədɛik].

AFAS Stadion is a stadium in Alkmaar, Netherlands. It is used for football matches and is the home stadium of AZ Alkmaar. The stadium is able to hold 19.478 people and bears the name of a Dutch software company. Due to UEFA's sponsorship regulations, the stadium is named AZ Stadion in European matches.

The ADO Den Haag Stadium is a multi-use stadium in The Hague, Netherlands, designed by Zwarts & Jansma Architects. Completed in 2007, the stadium is used mostly for football and field hockey. It is also the home stadium of ADO Den Haag. It has a capacity of 15,000 people, and replaced ADO's former stadium Zuiderpark which was considerably smaller. Meerzorg Resort in Commewijne District, Suriname

Meerzorg is a town and resort (municipality) in Suriname, located on the eastern bank of the Suriname River, directly opposite the capital Paramaribo. Its population at the 2012 census was 12,405. Since 2000 it has been connected to Paramaribo by the Jules Wijdenbosch Bridge, named after the former President Jules Wijdenbosch.

Ronnie Brunswijk Surinamese politician and former rebel (born 1961)

Ronnie Brunswijk is a Surinamese politician, businessman, footballer, convicted drug trafficker, former rebel leader, and the current Vice President of Suriname. Brunswijk served in the early 1980s as the personal bodyguard of Dési Bouterse, who overthrew the government in 1980 in a military coup. Brunswijk was discharged after asking for a raise, and denied back pay. In 1985, Brunswijk formed the Surinamese Liberation Army, better known as the Jungle Commando.

Rudi André Kamperveen was a Surinamese football player, sports administrator, politician and businessman.

ABCS Tournament Football tournament

The ABCS Tournament is an annual football tournament between the representative teams of Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao and Suriname.

Eurostadium was a proposed stadium in Grimbergen, Belgium, just north of Brussels. It would have had a capacity of 62,613. In June 2015, the building deadline was set for 2019. It would have hosted matches for UEFA Euro 2020, and would have become the home ground of the national football team of Belgium.

Sport Vereniging Santos is an association football club from Nieuw Nickerie, Suriname. The club currently compete in the SVB Eerste Divisie, the highest tier of football in Suriname.

Sport Vereniging Papatam is an association football club from Albina, Suriname. The club currently compete in the SVB Eerste Klasse, the 2nd tier of football in Suriname. In 2013 their home stadium the Albina Stadium was completed by the Albina Sport Bond, with a capacity of 1,000 people.

PSV Nickerie is a Surinamese football club from Nieuw Nickerie, currently playing in the district league of the Nickerie Voetbal Bond. The team play their home games at the Nickerie Voetbal Stadion to a capacity of 3,400 people.

COVID-19 pandemic in Suriname Ongoing COVID-19 viral pandemic in Suriname

The COVID-19 pandemic in Suriname was caused by Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. The virus was confirmed to have reached Suriname on 13 March 2020. The case was a person who travelled from the Netherlands the previous week. On 3 April 2020, one person died. On 3 May 2020, all nine cases had recovered. On 18 May, an eleventh case was identified.

Asraf Peerkhan Stadion, formerly the Nickerie Voetbal Stadion, is a football stadium in Nieuw Nickerie, Nickerie, Suriname. The stadium has a capacity of 3,400 visitors. It is the home stadium of Nickerie Voetbal Bond (NVB), the football union for the Nickerie District. The stadium was constructed in 1933. It used to be called Nickerie Voetbal Stadion. On 17 December 2017, the members of the NVB voted to change the name to Asraf Peerkhan Stadion in honour of Asraf Peerkhan.
