NCAA Division II men's soccer tournament appearances by school

The following is a list of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II college soccer teams that have qualified for the NCAA Division II men's soccer tournament through the 2023 tournament with teams listed by number of appearances. [1] [2] From 1959 through 1971, the NCAA had only one division for soccer; the Division II tournament was started in 1972, [3] and the Division III tourney followed in 1974. [4]

  1. In July 2019, after LIU Post's final tournament appearance, Long Island University merged the Post athletic program with the Division I program of the university's Brooklyn campus, creating a D-I program that now competes as the LIU Sharks. The merged men's soccer team inherited Brooklyn's history and records. [5]
  2. Known as the Philadelphia College of Textiles & Science (athletically "Philadelphia Textile") through the 1998 season, and then as Philadelphia University through the 2016 season. In July 2017, PhilaU merged with Thomas Jefferson University, a healthcare-only institution with no athletic program. The merged university chose to operate under the Thomas Jefferson name, and the PhilaU athletic program has since competed as Jefferson.
  3. Played in Division II as Dixie State University, the Trailblazers' former name. Also as three nicknames, Rebels, Red Storm, and Trailblazers.
  4. Played as Nyack College until the 2021 season.
  5. This program represented the now-defunct Indiana University – Purdue University Fort Wayne, or IPFW. In July 2018, the Indiana University and Purdue University systems dissolved IPFW, with each system establishing a new Fort Wayne campus. The IPFW athletic program, along with its history and records, was transferred to the Purdue-affiliated institution.

The conference footprint is centered in the Midwestern United States, stretching from Missouri in the west to Ohio in the east, and also extends into North Carolina. Many of the conference's schools also participate in the similarly named Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association in men's volleyball at the club level.

The NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament, sometimes known as the College Cup, is an American intercollegiate soccer tournament conducted by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and determines the Division I men's national champion. The tournament was formally held in 1959, when it was an eight-team tournament. Since then, the tournament has expanded to 48 teams, in which every Division I conference tournament champion is allocated a berth. Among the most successful programs, Saint Louis won 10 titles during dynasty years between 1959 and 1973. Indiana has won 8 titles beginning in 1982, whereas Virginia has won 7 titles beginning in 1989. Syracuse won its first national title in its first appearance in 2022.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Summit League</span> American college athletic conference

The Summit League, or The Summit, is an NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletic conference with its membership mostly located in the Midwestern United States, from Minnesota in the east, to the Dakotas, Nebraska and Colorado to the West, and Missouri and Oklahoma to the South. Founded as the Association of Mid-Continent Universities in 1982, it rebranded as the Mid-Continent Conference in 1989, then again as the Summit League on June 1, 2007. The league headquarters are in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) is a college athletic conference affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division II level. There are also four associate members who participate in sports not sponsored by their home conference.

The East Coast Conference (ECC) is a college athletic conference affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division II level. Member institutions are located primarily in the state of New York, with a single member located in the District of Columbia.

The Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men's basketball team that represents Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW). They have been a member of the Horizon League since 2020. Formerly, they represented the now defunct Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW). The team has yet to participate in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. The Mastodons are coached by Jon Coffman and play their home games at the Hilliard Gates Sports Center and the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

This is a list of NIT bids by school. As of the 2014 tournament, 269 schools have made appearances in the tournament. The 12 schools whose names are listed in the last table are no longer in NCAA Division I Men's Basketball, and can no longer be included in the tournament.

The Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons, formerly known as the IPFW Mastodons and Fort Wayne Mastodons, are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW). The school's athletic program includes 16 varsity sports teams. Their mascot is a Mastodon named Don, and the school colors are black and gold. The university participates in the NCAA's Division I as members of the Horizon League in all varsity sports except for men's volleyball, which competes in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association. Purdue Fort Wayne offers 8 varsity sports for men and 8 for women.

The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles refer to the fifteen intercollegiate athletic teams that represent Florida Gulf Coast University, located in unincorporated Lee County, Florida near Fort Myers, in intercollegiate athletics, including men and women's basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, and tennis; women's-only: softball, swimming and diving, indoor volleyball, and beach volleyball; and men's-only: baseball. The Eagles compete in the NCAA Division I and are members of the ASUN Conference (ASUN). FGCU is also notable as the youngest institution competing in NCAA Division I, having been officially founded in 1991 and started classes in 1997. Their mascot is Azul the Eagle.

The Liberty Lady Flames basketball team is the women's basketball team that represents Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia in NCAA Division I play. As of the next college basketball season in 2023–24, the Lady Flames compete in Conference USA (C-USA). They are currently coached by Carey Green.

Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW) is a public university in Fort Wayne, Indiana. A campus of Purdue University, Purdue Fort Wayne was founded on July 1, 2018, when its predecessor university, Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne formally split into two separate institutions: Purdue University Fort Wayne and Indiana University Fort Wayne.

From 1959 through 1971, the NCAA had only one division for soccer, until the Division II tournament was started in 1972, with Division III following in 1974.

The 2018 NCAA Division I men's soccer season was the 60th season of NCAA championship men's college soccer. The regular season began on August 24, 2018, and continued into the first weekend of November 2018. The season culminated with the four-team College Cup at Meredith Field at Harder Stadium in Santa Barbara, California, December 7–9, 2018. There were 206 teams in men's Division I competition. The Maryland Terrapins won their fourth NCAA title, defeating the Akron Zips 1–0.

The Jefferson Rams are the athletic teams that represent Thomas Jefferson University, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in intercollegiate sports as a member of the NCAA Division II ranks, primarily competing as a member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) since the 2005–06 academic year; while its women's golf and women's rowing teams compete as Independents. The Rams previously competed in the East Coast Conference from 1991–92 to 2004–05.

The 2018–19 Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons men's basketball team represented Purdue University Fort Wayne during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Mastodons were led by fifth-year head coach Jon Coffman and split their home games between the Gates Sports Center and the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum as members of the Summit League.

The Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons men's basketball statistical leaders are individual statistical leaders of the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons men's basketball program in various categories, including points, three-pointers, assists, blocks, rebounds, and steals. Within those areas, the lists identify single-game, single-season, and career leaders. The Mastodons represent Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW) in the NCAA Division I Horizon League.
