Naheed Asgar [a] [b] is a two star officer of the Bangladesh Army. He is the managing director of Bangladesh Machine Tools Factory. [1] [2]
Naheed was born in Mymensingh of then East Pakistan, Pakistan. He completed high school from Jhenaidah Cadet College and enlisted to Bangladesh Military Academy in 1989. He was commissioned in the Army Service Corps with the 24th BMA long course in 1991. Naheed is a graduate of the Defence Services Command and Staff College, the Armed Forces War College and the National Defence College.
Naheed commanded one supply and transport battalion and one station transport depot. As lieutenant colonel, Naheed served as general staff officer (grade-1) at ARTDOC headquarters. He was soon promoted to colonel and appointed as colonel staff of 55th Infantry Division. Naheed also served as director of Overseas Operations Logistics Depot under the logistics area. At army headquarters Naheed was the deputy director of supply and transport directorate till his amelioration to brigadier general. Naheed furthermore served as director at Bangladesh Machine Tools Factory, the Armed Forces War College and as commandant of Army Service Corps Centre and School. He was promoted to major general on October 2024 and was designated as the managing director of Bangladesh Machine Tools Factory Limited. [3] [ failed verification ]
