Nahiyeh (Persian : ناحيه‎, also Romanized as Nāḩīyeh; also known as Nāhīsh)^[1] is a village in Khanamrud Rural District, in the Central District of Heris County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 195, in 42 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Khanamrud Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Heris County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 3,488, in 796 families. The rural district has 12 villages.

The Central District of Heris County is a district (bakhsh) in Heris County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 37,475, in 8,915 families. The District has four cities: Heris, Zarnaq, Bakhshayesh, and Kolvanaq.
