Jamatia was born on 16 November 1959 to Gobinda Roy Jamatia [9] and Bipra Rani Jamatia. [1] In the 2018 Tripura Legislative Assembly election he was defeated by BJP candidate Ram Pada Jamatia. [10] [11] [12]

In 2018, he contested from Agartala constituency and won on BJP ticket. On 7 February 2022, he quit BJP and resigned from his MLA post. On 8 February he joined the Indian National Congress in Delhi. Again on 23 June 2022, he contested from Agartala constituency and won on INC ticket defeating his nearest rival of BJP by more than 3500 votes.

Pravat Chowdhury is an Indian politician and member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). Chowdhury is a member of the Tripura Legislative Assembly from the Manu in South Tripura district since 2014. Chowdhury was elected in a 2014 bye-election to this seat, after the previous incumbent, Jitendra Choudhury, resigned to take his Lok Sabha seat for Tripura East after winning in 2014. Pravat Chowdhury won the bye-election by a landslide, leading by a record margin of nearly 16,000 votes. Chowdhury won reelection to a full term during the 2018 Tripura Legislative Assembly election, but this time by a much smaller margin. His victory by 193 votes, or 0.48%, against Dhananjoy Tripura of the Indigenous People's Front of Tripura was the closest contest in the state.

Pranab Debbarma is an Indian politician and member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). He is the former member of Tripura Legislative Assembly since 1993 to 2018 from Simna. In 2018 Tripura Legislative Assembly election he was defeated by IPFT candidate Brishaketu Debbarma.

Sudhanwa Debbarma was an Indian Kokborok writer, Political leader and member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). He was the former Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly. He was the veteran leader of Ganamukti Parishad. He was a member of Tripura Legislative Assembly from Takarjala (1977-1988).

Daniel Jamatia is an Indian politician and member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). Jamatia served as a member of the Tripura Legislative Assembly in the year 2008 to 2018 from the Ampinagar constituency in South Tripura district. In 2018 Tripura Legislative Assembly election Daniel was defeated by Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura candidate Sindhu Chandra Jamatia.

In 2020 Bihar Legislative Assembly elections, he defeated Ram Balak Singh of Janata Dal (United) by a margin of 40,496 votes.

Rajendra Reang is an Indian politician and member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). He was a former member of Tripura Legislative Assembly from 2003 to 2018 from Kanchanpur Vidhan Sabha Constituency. In 2018 Tripura Legislative Assembly election Rajendra defeated by IPFT candidate Prem Kumar Reang in the margin of 4131 votes.

Padma Kumar Debbarma is an Indian politician affiliated with the Communist Party of India (Marxist). He was a member of Tripura Legislative Assembly from 1998 to 2018. In 2018 Tripura Legislative Assembly election, he was defeated by IPFT's candidate Prasanta Debbarma.

Binay Bhushan Das is an Indian politician belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was elected as a member of Tripura Legislative Assembly from Panisagar. MLA Binoy Bhusan Das takes oath as Tripura Assembly's Pro-tem Speaker. He was sworn in by Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya in the presence of Chief Minister Manik Saha and his Cabinet colleagues on 15 March 2023.

Islam Uddin is an Indian politician belonging to the Communist Party of India (Marxist). He is a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing Kadamtala-Kurti Assembly constituency in the North Tripura district and East region of Tripura.

Rama Pada Jamatia is an Indian politician from Tripura. He formerly served as Minister of Tribal Welfare and Industry & Commerce in Government of Tripura under Manik Saha Ministry. He became the MLA from Bagma Assembly Constituency by defeating CPI(M) candidate Naresh Jamatia by a margin of 2,833 votes in 2018.

Nirmal Biswas is an Indian politician and Member of Tripura Legislative Assembly representing Khowai. He belongs to the Communist Party of India.

Dipankar Sen is an Indian politician currently serving as a Member of the 13th Tripura Legislative Assembly, representing the Belonia constituency. He is a member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) from Tripura.
