Nawabzada Abdul Ghafoor Khan Hoti (1923–1998) was a former governor of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (known as NWFP at the time) province of Pakistan. Belonging to Mardan, he was the son of Nawab Akbar Khan Hoti and father of Inspector General of KPK Police Nawabzada Kamal Khan Hoti. [1] [2]

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, formerly known as North-West Frontier Province, is one of the four administrative provinces of Pakistan, located in the northwestern region of the country along the international border with Afghanistan. It was previously known as the North-West Frontier Province until 2010 when the name was changed to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by the 18th Amendment to Pakistan's Constitution, and is known colloquially by various other names. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the third-largest province of Pakistan by the size of both population and economy, though it is geographically the smallest of four. Within Pakistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa shares a border with Punjab, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Islamabad. It is home to 17.9% of Pakistan's total population, with the majority of the province's inhabitants being Pashtuns. The province is the site of the ancient kingdom Gandhara, including the ruins of its capital Pushkalavati near modern-day Charsadda. Originally a stronghold of Buddhism, the history of the region was characterized by frequent invasions under various Empires due to its geographical proximity to the Khyber Pass.

Mardān is a city in the Mardan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan. Located in the Valley of Peshawar, Mardan is the second-largest city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, after the nearby city of Peshawar.

He was one of the rare politicians who had said that he would resign from his office, if his son was proven guilty by a court in the United States. He later resigned as promised. [2]

Mir Afzal Khan was a Pakistani politician from the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. He served as the 16th Chief Minister of the province from the 7th of August, 1990 to 19 July 1993.

He was appointed as the Governor of North-West Frontier Province when General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq imposed Martial Law on 5 July 1977 and appointed all provincial Chief justices as governors of respective provinces. Khan Amirzadah Khan was a Khudai Khidmatgar and a leader of the National Awami Party in Pakistan. January 2009 Dera Ismail Khan bombings

January 2009 Dera Ismail Khan bombings involved two incidents in Dera Ismail Khan. The first occurred on 4th day of month in front of Polytechnic College, killing ten people, including four policemen and two journalists, and injuring 28. The other occurred when a bomb planted on motorcycle exploded on 26 January near town hall, killing 6 people and injuring 24.

Khawaja Muhammad Khan Hoti is a Pakistani politician who served as member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 2008 to 2012.
