Neck Deep is the fifth studio album by Welsh pop-punk band Neck Deep. It was released on 19 January 2024, through Hopeless Records.
Most of the album was recorded in the band's own studio in Wrexham, Wales, besides the drums, which were recorded in Treehouse Studio in England. [3] It was mixed in Los Angeles, California. [3] This is the band's first album without original drummer Dani Washington, as he left the band in May 2022. [4] He was replaced by the band's long time drum technician Matt Powles. The album is produced and engineered by bassist Seb Barlow. This is the first time he has produced and engineered a Neck Deep album since their 2014 debut studio album Wishful Thinking . [3] The lead single, "Heartbreak of the Century", was released on 15 February 2023, along with a music video.
On 9 August 2023, the second single, "Take Me with You" was released, along with a music video. On the same date, frontman Ben Barlow announced that the band would be performing at the Alexandra Palace in London, England, on 28 March 2024, with Knuckle Puck, and Drain. [5] [6]
The album was officially announced on 27 September 2023, along with the release of the third single, "It Won't Be Like This Forever" and its music video. The fourth single, "We Need More Bricks", was released on 16 November 2023. A music video for "Dumbstruck Dumbfuck” came out on 18 January 2024. [7]
On 13 November 2023, it was announced that the band would be playing at the When We Were Young festival on 19 October 2024. [8]
The band toured throughout the United States in support of the album with Drain, Bearings, and Higher Power. The tour started at Marathon Music Works in Nashville, Tennessee on 25 January 2024, and ended at The Salt Shed in Chicago, Illinois on 25 February 2024. [9]

Wishful Thinking is the debut studio album by the Welsh pop punk band Neck Deep. Vocalist Ben Barlow met guitarist Lloyd Roberts when Roberts was working with Barlow's brother, Seb. Following the upload of a song under the artist name Neck Deep, the song gained attention. This attention resulted in the duo obtaining guitarist Matt West, drummer Dani Washington and bassist Fil Thorpe-Evans. The band released two EPs, Rain in July (2012) and A History of Bad Decisions. In March 2013 the band started recording material at Celestial Recordings in Wrexham, where they began recording guitar, bass and vocals. The group then moved to Outhouse Studio in Reading, where they recorded drums. Material was produced by Seb Barlow and the band. In mid-August, the group had signed to Hopeless, and by late August, they announced the album had been finished.
Royal Blood is an English rock duo formed in Littlehampton in 2011. The current lineup consists of Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher (drums). Their signature sound is built around Kerr's bass playing style, which sees him using various effects pedals and amps to make his bass guitar sound like an electric guitar and bass guitar at the same time. SWMRS, pronounced 'swimmers', are an American punk rock band formed in Piedmont, California in 2004 by Cole Becker and Joey Armstrong, with Becker's brother Max Becker joining only a few weeks afterwards. They drew on a mix of influences ranging from the Beach Boys to the Ramones to create their own brand of rock. The band added Travis Neumann in 2009, who later left in 2014 due to creative differences. The band released a demo and a string of EPs from 2008 to 2010. The band released their first album, Don't Be a Dick, on June 14, 2011. The band's second album, Lost at Seventeen, was released on June 11, 2013. They added Sebastian Mueller as the bassist in 2014. The band's third studio album, and their first under the name SWMRS after dropping their former name, Drive North, was released February 12, 2016, via Uncool Records. Drive North was later re-released after the band was signed to record label Fueled by Ramen on October 13, 2016.
Trophy Eyes is an Australian punk rock band from Newcastle, formed in 2013. They are currently signed to Hopeless Records. The band currently consists of vocalist John Floreani, bassist and backing vocalist Jeremy Winchester, lead guitarist Josh Campiao, and drummer Blake Caruso. Their single "Hurt" was ranked No. 135 on Triple J's Hottest 100. Other Hottest 100 appearances include No. 101 in 2016 with "Chlorine" and No. 93 in 2018 with "You Can Count on Me". To date, they have released four studio albums: Mend, Move On (2014), Chemical Miracle (2016), The American Dream (2018) and Suicide and Sunshine (2023).
Life's Not out to Get You is the second studio album by Welsh pop punk band Neck Deep. Following the success of their debut album, Wishful Thinking (2014), the majority of the band members quit their day jobs and vocalist Ben Barlow dropped out of university. Working with Jeremy McKinnon, Andrew Wade and Tom Denney, the band recorded their second album between December 2014 and January 2015. Following recording the band immediately went on tour.

The Peace and the Panic is the third studio album by Welsh pop punk band Neck Deep. It is the band’s first album to feature lead guitarist Sam Bowden, formerly of the bands Blood Youth and Climates and the last to feature founding bassist and backing vocalist Fil Thorpe-Evans before his departure in September 2018. The group planned to work on material for their follow-up album by the end of the year, though were unable due to tour commitments. In June 2016, the band went on a two-week writing retreat in Wales, creating 40 song drafts in the process. At the end of the year, vocalist Ben Barlow said the group had around 30 demos and two completed songs. Following a support slot for A Day to Remember in early 2017, the band began recording The Peace and the Panic in March and April in Los Angeles, California. Mike Green produced the album with assistance from engineers Will McCoy and Colin Schwanke. Most of the album was mixed by Neal Avron, while Green mixed three of the songs.
"In Bloom" is a song by the Welsh pop punk band Neck Deep, released as the fourth single from the group's third studio album The Peace and the Panic. The track peaked at 39 on the UK Rock & Metal Singles Chart following the album's release and later won the 2018 Kerrang! Award for Best Song.
All Distortions Are Intentional is the fourth studio album by Welsh pop punk band Neck Deep, released on 24 July 2020 by Hopeless Records. It was produced by Matt Squire and mixed by Seb Barlow. It is the first album to not feature bassist Fil Thorpe-Evans, who left in the fall of 2018 and the last to feature original member and drummer Dani Washington before his departure in 2022. The band's photographer Joshua Halling recorded bass on all tracks on this album. He ultimately decided not to join the band full-time and was later replaced by Seb Barlow, longtime collaborator of the band and brother of frontman Ben Barlow.
See What's on the Inside is the seventh studio album by English rock band Asking Alexandria. The album was released on 1 October 2021 through Better Noise Music and was produced by Matt Good. The album is the first release from the band under Better Noise Music.
