The Nepal Fencing Association (NFA) is the governing body for the sport of Fencing and is recognized by the Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) [1] as one of its National Sports Association members. It is affiliated to the Asian Fencing Confederation and International Fencing Federation (FIE).

The International Fencing Federation commonly known by the acronym FIE, is the international governing body of Olympic fencing. Today, its head office is at the Maison du Sport International in Lausanne, Switzerland. The FIE is composed of 155 national federations, each of which is recognized by its country's Olympic Committee as the sole representative of Olympic-style fencing in that country.
The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) is a governing body of sports in Asia, currently with 45 member National Olympic Committees. Talal Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah was elected as President of the OCA on 8 July 2023. However, on 30 July 2023, the International Olympic Committee asked Randhir Singh, who was the acting president at the time, to continue as the Acting President of the OCA while the IOC investigated the OCA presidential election of 2023. On 13 October 2023, the IOC ethics committee asked the OCA to annul its 2023 elections due to Talal’s candidacy not fulfilling the eligibility conditions defined by the OCA Constitution and election interference by his brother Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah.
The Philippine Fencing Association (PFA) is the governing body for the sport of fencing in the Philippines and is recognized by the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) as one of its National Sports Association members. Founded by Don Francisco Dayrit Sr. as Philippine Amateur Fencers Association or PAFA, PFA is a member of the International Fencing Federation (FIE) and one of the founding members of the Southeast Asian Fencing Federation (SEAFF) and the Asian Fencing Confederation (AFC).

The fencing competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris were run from 27 July to 4 August at the Grand Palais strip. A total of 212 fencers, with an equal distribution between men and women, competed across twelve medal events at the Games. For the second straight time, Paris 2024 witnessed both men and women fence against each other in the individual and team events held in all three weapons.
