Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), formerly Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) is a state university located in Dwarka, Delhi, India. In 2018, the institute was granted university status, changing its name to Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT). [3] [4]
The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) established an engineering college named Delhi Institute of Technology (DIT) in 1983. The institute was then affiliated to the Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi. The institute initiated PhD programs in 1989 and also formulated several PG programs, four of which were approved by the AICTE in the year 1994. The institute was renamed Netaji Subash Institute of Technology (NSIT) in honour of the Indian freedom fighter Subhas Chandra Bose in 1997. The Delhi Netaji Subhas University of Technology Act, 2017 (Delhi Act 06 of 2018) upgraded the institute under the affiliation of the Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi to a non-affiliating state university. Jai Prakash Saini became the founder vice-chancellor of Netaji Subhas University of Technology. [5]
The primary campus of NSUT is a fully residential campus on 149.5 acres of land. [6] Campus facilities include faculty and staff residences, student hostels, cooperative mess and a sports complex. The campus is divided into clusters of buildings. The administrative block contains important offices, banks, a post office, and an auditorium where major functions are held. [7] The campus has four boys' hostels (one for each year) and three girls' hostels. [8]
The East campus is located in Geeta Colony. [9]
The West campus is located in Jaffarpur Kalan. [9]

Delhi Technological University (DTU), formerly Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) is a state university in Rohini, Delhi, India. It was established in 1941 as Delhi Polytechnic. In 1952, it started giving degrees after being affiliated with the Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi. The institute has been under the Government of Delhi since 1963 and was affiliated with the Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi from 1952 to 2009. Moksha, the annual cultural festival of Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), started in 2003. It is organised in March. Moksha is a three-day national cultural extravaganza held at NSUT every even semester of the academic year of the college, with the most popular events being Hasya-Kavi Sammelan, FahreChoreography, Fashion show, Pop Show, Rock Show and the Star Night amongst others. It is considered to be one of the biggest cultural fests of Delhi and attracts sponsorships from top corporate houses of India like TCS, Intel and Airtel. The fest is attended by colleges from all over India and has enjoyed the presence of big names from within and across borders, like Edward Maya, KK, Akcent, and Strings, the Pakistani band.
