New Order 316 is a live DVD released by New Order, in 2001 by Warner Music Vision and London Records. It consists of two concerts. The first took place on 18 November 1981 at the Ukrainian National Home (Taras Shevchenko) in the East Village of New York City, [1] and features 9 tracks. The second took place at the Reading Festival on 30 August 1998, and features 11 tracks. The DVD title is derived from the combined set list of 3 Joy Division and 16 New Order tracks. [2]

The 1981 recording was previously released by Factory Records as the VHS/Beta video tape Taras Shevchenko in 1983.

The video opens with scenes featuring a digitised version of the Taras Shevchenko self-portrait. The video artwork was done by graphic designer Peter Saville and produced by Michael Shamberg. [1]

Release

The video was released on DVD in April 2001 for Region 2 by London Records (90 Ltd 8573-84802-2). It was released in 2001 for Japan and Brazil by Warner Music Vision and Warner Music Brazil, respectively. In 2003, the video was released by Rhino Records (R2 970194) for Region 1. [2]

New Order are an English rock band formed in 1980 by vocalist and guitarist Bernard Sumner, bassist Peter Hook and drummer Stephen Morris. The band formed after the demise of Joy Division, following the suicide of lead singer Ian Curtis. They were joined by Gillian Gilbert on keyboards later that year. Within Temptation Dutch metal band

Within Temptation is a Dutch symphonic metal band founded in April 1996 by vocalist Sharon den Adel and guitarist Robert Westerholt. They have been classified by critics as gothic metal and symphonic metal, although each album contains other influences outside these genres. Their most prominent and well-known sound is described as symphonic metal, although their earlier material, such as debut album Enter, was mostly gothic metal, with Enter also having a hint of doom metal. In an interview, den Adel said they fell into a symphonic rock genre with various influences. In another interview, den Adel stated that "We consider ourselves more an atmospheric melodic symphonic metal/rock band... In my opinion, we are not a gothic band but we have gothic elements".

Intimate and Live is the debut live album by Australian singer and songwriter Kylie Minogue. It was released on 30 November 1998 as a double CD set, and on 23 July 2002 as a DVD through BMG, Mushroom Records and Warner Vision. The concert was filmed at Capitol Theatre on 1 July 1998 from the Intimate and Live concert tour. Produced by David Wilson and directed by Mark Adamson and Michael Williams, both the album and DVD features twenty-one songs from the concert and spawned a promotional single, "Dancing Queen".

True Faith (song) 1987 single by New Order

"True Faith" is a song by New Order, co-written and co-produced by the band and Stephen Hague. It was the first New Order single since their debut "Ceremony" to be issued in the UK as two separate 12" singles. The second 12" single features two remixes of "True Faith" by Shep Pettibone. Both versions of the 12" include the song "1963". "True Faith" is one of New Order's most popular songs.

Cowboy Style 1998 single by Kylie Minogue

"Cowboy Style" is a song recorded by Australian recording artist and songwriter Kylie Minogue, for her sixth studio album Impossible Princess (1997). The song was released as the fifth and final single on 5 October 1998 through Mushroom. Minogue co-wrote the track with Steve Anderson and Dave Seaman while Brothers in Rhythm produced it. Backed by guitars, synthesisers and drum instruments, "Cowboy Style" is a Celtic pop track in which Minogue sings about her relationship with Stephane Sednaoui. Eric Andersen American musician

Eric Andersen is an American folk music singer-songwriter, who has written songs recorded by Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Judy Collins, Linda Ronstadt, the Grateful Dead and many others. Early in his career, in the 1960s, he was part of the Greenwich Village folk scene. After two decades and sixteen albums of solo performance he became a member of the group Danko/Fjeld/Andersen.

"Points of Authority" is a song by American rock band Linkin Park. It is the fourth track on their first studio album, Hybrid Theory. Mike Shinoda's verses originally had different lyrics, and Chester Bennington's parts became no different from the Hybrid Theory version. The song was released in 2001 as a promo release. A CD single for the song was set to be released in the UK in September 2001, but instead, "Papercut" was released as the third single from the album. It was later planned as the fifth official single from the album, planned for a January 2002 release but was cancelled for unknown reasons. In its place, the song's remix version was released.

New Order 511 is a live DVD released by New Order, in 2002 by Warner Music Vision. It features 16 tracks, recorded on 9 June 2002, at Finsbury Park, London. Five of the 16 tracks are Joy Division songs, and 11 of them are New Order songs, hence the title. Participating in the concert are Phil Cunningham, who provided guitar and keyboards, John Simm and backing vocalist Dawn Zee.

Most of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's early music was recorded with Rehmat Gramophone House later turned RGH Label. Throughout the ’70s and early ’80s Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan released hundreds of cassettes, most of them containing one or two lengthy songs. Chris Nickson, of Global Rhythm, argues that trying to make order of Khan's entire discography would be a nightmare.

Vision and Voice is the first live performance recording by Polish death metal band Vader. It was released in VHS format on 1 December 1998 by Metal Mind. The album consists Vader concert filmed and recorded on 25 March 1998 at Studio Łęg in Kraków, Poland.

Michael H. Shamberg was an American music video producer and filmmaker known for his work with the British band, New Order. Shamberg, who was closely associated with Factory Records and New Order throughout his career, was responsible for producing some of the band's best known music videos, including “True Faith” and “Blue Monday”. Shamberg's producing credits included the 1987 music video for “True Faith”, which was nominated for "Best Music Video" at the 1988 Brit Awards. Shamberg also worked on music videos featuring numerous other musical artists, including Talking Heads, The B-52's, R.E.M., Patti Smith and Grace Jones. His music video production credits included videos directed by Kathryn Bigelow, Jonathan Demme, Robert Frank, Robert Longo, and William Wegman.

Legacy of Taras Shevchenko

Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko was a Ukrainian poet, writer, artist, public and political figure, as well as folklorist and ethnographer. His literary heritage is regarded to be the foundation of modern Ukrainian literature and, to a large extent, the modern Ukrainian language. Shevchenko is also known for many masterpieces as a painter and an illustrator.

<i>Crossroads Guitar Festival 2010</i> 2010 American film

Crossroads Guitar Festival 2010 is a concert film released on November 8, 2010, by the British rock musician Eric Clapton under Rhino Records and the Warner Music Group. It is sometimes credited as a "Various Artists" compilation release. The music film features 40 tracks on the DVD and Blu-ray format. Crossroads Guitar Festival 2010 was released worldwide, reached various international music charts and was awarded several certification awards for outstanding sales and shipments.
