The Billie Jean King Cup is the premier international team competition in women's tennis, launched as the Federation Cup in 1963 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the International Tennis Federation (ITF). The name was changed to the Fed Cup in 1995, and changed again in September 2020 in honor of former World No. 1 Billie Jean King. The Billie Jean King Cup is the world's largest annual women's international team sports competition in terms of the number of nations that compete. The current Chairperson is Katrina Adams.

The Czech Republic women's national tennis team is the representative national team of the Czech Republic in Billie Jean King Cup competition. The Czech Republic team in its current incarnation began competing in 1993. It is seen as the primary successor to the Czechoslovak team, and not Slovakia, even though the Czechoslovak team included both Czech and Slovak players.
The Russia women's national tennis team represented Russia in Billie Jean King Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Russian Tennis Federation. They compete in the World Group. Following the 2020 ban of Russia by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), it competed and won the 2020–21 Billie Jean King Cup under the RTF flag and name. After the 2022 Russia invasion of Ukraine, the International Tennis Federation suspended Russia from Billie Jean King Cup competitions.
The Australia Billie Jean King Cup team represents Australia in international women's tennis and is directed by Tennis Australia. The team played in the first ever tournament in 1963, and is one of four teams that has taken part in every single edition since.

The Belarus women's national tennis team represented Belarus in Billie Jean King Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Belarus Tennis Association. They compete in the World Group. After the 2022 Russia invasion of Ukraine, the International Tennis Federation suspended Russia and Belarus from Billie Jean King Cup competitions.
The Bulgaria women's national tennis team represents Bulgaria in Billie Jean King Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Bulgarian Tennis Federation.
The Netherlands Billie Jean King Cup team represents the Netherlands in the Billie Jean King Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Koninklijke Nederlandse Lawn Tennis Bond. They currently compete in World Group II.
The Switzerland women's national tennis team represents Switzerland in Fed Cup tennis competition and are governed by Swiss Tennis. They currently compete in World Group.
The Indonesia Billie Jean King Cup team represents Indonesia in Billie Jean King Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Indonesian Tennis Association. They have not competed in the World Groups since 2006.
The Sri Lanka Fed Cup team represents Sri Lanka in Fed Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Sri Lanka Tennis Association. They have not competed since 2001 with the exception of the 2008 tournament.
Sacha Hughes is the current New Zealand Fed Cup captain, appointed May 2019. She is a former professional New Zealand and Australian tennis player who competed as Sacha Jones. Her highest WTA singles ranking is 150, which she reached on 8 October 2012. Her highest ITF junior ranking is 11 in the world. She attained the No. 1 ranking in New Zealand in 2009 and competed in the ASB Classic, New Zealand's only WTA event, on seven occasions.
Abigail "Abbey" Guthrie is a New Zealand former tennis player. On the Junior Circuit, she peaked at No. 360 in 2008. She and partner Kristi Boxx won two doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit in 2013.
The Kosovo Fed Cup team represents Kosovo in Fed Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Tennis Federation of Kosovo. They took part in the Fed Cup for the first time in 2016, competing in the Europe/Africa Zone Group III.
