Synopsis

The series (responsible for bringing some crime cases into national attention [2] ) covered some notable ones like the McKinney quadruple murder, the Disappearance of Michele Anne Harris, the murder of Katie Sepich or Murder of Lauren Giddings. It also took a look at the crimes of Eugene Britt, Alec Devon Kreider and Adam Leroy Lane.

Episodes typically consist of interviews with investigators, prosecutors and family members coupled with re-enactments using actors. [3] The series focuses on crimes that occurred in small American communities. [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] [13]

The FBI Files is an American television docudrama series that originally ran from 1998 to 2006 on the Discovery Channel and produced by New Dominion Pictures. The show was cancelled in 2006. However, Court TV Mystery, Discovery, and its sister network, Investigation Discovery, aired re-runs until October 2012. Investigation Discovery only showed episodes from seasons 5,6, and 7. As of October 2012, the network now airs episodes from the earlier seasons, with updated information about the cases at the end of most episodes. Up to late September 2012, WE tv showed episodes from seasons 1-4, but the network had removed the episode introductions by Jim Kallstrom. In the UK on Quest Red, The FBI Files airs every weeknight. It has also been shown on TV Denmark, Discovery Australia, and Netflix in Canada.

Kiplyn Davis was a 15-year-old Spanish Fork high school student who disappeared from her high school campus in Spanish Fork, Utah. She is one of the featured children on the Polly Klaas Foundation website. In 2011, a classmate was convicted of manslaughter in the murder of Davis and sentenced to 15 years in prison. However, the man refused to name his alleged accomplices or indicate where Davis's remains were supposedly concealed.

Marjorie Ann Orbin is an American woman who murdered her husband Jay Orbin in Phoenix, Arizona, on or about September 8, 2004, which would have been his 45th birthday. Jay Orbin was a jewelry dealer. In September 2004 he returned home to Phoenix from a road trip to Florida. Police said he arrived at his home on September 8, based on cell phone and credit-card records. He was never seen alive again.

As of the 2018 season, the series has aired 38 episodes over five seasons. All 30 episodes from the first four seasons are currently streaming on Hulu. The complete season 4 and 5 episodes are currently available on Amazon Prime Video. All episodes of the series are available through the ID GO app and the Discovery+ streaming service.
