Nina P. Nayak (born 24 November 1953) is a social worker and child rights activist from Dakshina Kannada. Her career has been dedicated to the promotion and protection of child rights. [1] [2] [3]
She gave a presentation on the role of children in governance in a TEDx event in Bangalore on 6 April 2012. [4] [5] She has also authored several articles and books. Nayak was a former chairperson for Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. [6] Previously,she was also the vice-president of the Indian Council for Child Welfare and member of the sub-committee on children in the National Planning Commission of India. [7] [8] [9]
Nina Nayak has a Master's degree in social work with specialization in family and child welfare,and a Bachelor's degree in home science from University of Madras,with core subjects child development,food and nutrition. [8] She has a certificate in human rights from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). [8] Nayak has two adopted children. [9]
As a child rights activist for the last 30 years she has held several positions of responsibility [3] [7]
On 10 March 2014 she was Aam Aadmi Party candidate for Bangalore South Lok Sabha constituency and received 21,403 votes (1.9% of the total votes polled) and lost to Ananth Kumar of BJP [10]

Nandan Mohanrao Nilekani is an Indian entrepreneur. He co-founded Infosys and is the non-executive chairman of Infosys replacing R Seshasayee and Ravi Venkatesan, who were the co-chairs of the board, on 24 August 2017. After the exit of Vishal Sikka, Nilekani was appointed as non-executive chairman of the board effective 24 August 2017. He was the chairman of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). After a successful career at Infosys, he headed the Government of India's technology committee, TAGUP. He is a member of Indian National Congress but not active in politics as of 2019.

The Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (KSCPCR) a Karnataka Governmental commission, established on 3 July 2009 by the Commission for Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005 and thus is a statutory body. Its objective is "to protect, promote and defend child rights" in Karnataka. KSCPCR is the sixth such commission in the country. As defined by the commission, child includes those up to the age of 18 years.
Chandni Khan born in 1997 (age 26–27) is an Indian activist and editor working for the welfare of street children in different parts of India. She founded the NGO, Voice of Slum along with Dev Pratap Singh. She was the editor of the newspaper Balaknama, literally meaning "voice of children", published in New Delhi. She is also called Chandni Di, the word di meaning "older sister" in some Indian languages.
The Commissions for Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005 is a law enacted by the Parliament of India, which provides for constitution of National commission and state commissions for the rehabilitation, prosperity and wellness of children. The act was primarily enforced in Indian administered states and its union territories to protect child rights. The act further provides constitution for establishment of children's court where the offenses against children rights or exploitation of child rights be trialed speedily.
